Such a good win for a Patriots fan. Broncos fall another game back. And the Colts pull off a big win against a top team, which makes it less likely Pagano and Grigson get fired.

Bob Costas, official NFL water carrier:

"After the Ray Rice case [dramatic, thoughtful shot of Goodell], Goodell vowed to do better"
"Goodell imposed a 10 game suspension, but the player's association appealed. That's on the player's association"
"You can shake your head at the perceived flaws of the judicial system"
"Here's what you can't do this time. You can't blame Roger Goodell"

Peter King, "The Cowboys weren't the only team interested in signing Hardy"

Zero chance Talib gets suspended. A suspension would make sense, but this is the NFL we are talking about. He will get a fine and play next week. I'd rather him play, he is a ticking time bomb of an injury waiting to happen, let the clock keep running. I want a softer Broncos d

This is not rooting for an injury. Just expecting the inevitable

Eh. I love a Goodell pile-on as much as anyone, but he did suspend Hardy for 10 games. It's not his fault the NFLPA decided to defend literal human trash.

Oh, I missed when Costas and King lionized the NFLPA for fighting for insurance for retired players basically ever. Or called out Goodell for having the Rice tape and reducing the suspension anyway. Remember, TSC "The NFLPA had those pictures! There's nothing Goodell could do." - Costas.

Edit: Just as it's Goodell's job to increase owners' authority, leading to a BS procedural appeal filing against Brady, it's the NFLPA's job to protect all players by appealing all suspensions on procedural grounds. Both actions individually are crappy. But what's undeniably stupid is the obvious pro-owner propaganda from Costas and King.

I hope Al Michaels gives the pictures some good national TV time this evening.

@TroyRenck: Talib said didn't contact official. Was flagged for clapping too loud. After game asked ref for an explanation and got none

Hoo-hoo-hoo hoosier land.

Yeah, except that Goodell's handpicked crony Henderson was the one who reduced the suspension. Only a moron would think it wasn't rubber stamped. He was not interested in giving the NFLPA a slam dunk victory in federal court.

this whole Hardy debacle just illustrates why it was so easy to go after Brady. Talking about domestic violence is "uncomfortable". Talking about air pressure in a football, not so much. Fuck this league. DRIVE FOR FIVE.

CBS and NBC declined to show the photos because, paraphrasing, they just confirm what we already know. Right. That's why television has been such a big flop - reading a newspaper gives us an identical news delivery experience.

The networks would show them if the networks thought the pictures would improve the network's bottom line. Fox shows TMZ on TV with no problem.
The issue is the networks are afraid of the NFL getting angry and doing something to cost the networks money.

Collingsworthless is fine questioning the legitimacy of a Patriot SB win or spending the 1st half of a game going on about headsets and other devious doings. Fuck that douche canoe.

Dez Bryant wide open and Cassell throws way behind him. This might be a "worst QB" tournament qualifying match.

I fucking hate watching the Eagles. Just fucking hate it.

They are terrible. Fuck you Chip Kelly.
I feel the same way. So much hope for this season, dashed.

And Bradford is completing balls but he's too inaccurate to be successful. That ball to Austin is a great example. Yeah, Austin caught it but he needed to jump. Bradford missed the right spot by 4 feet.
