The networks would show them if the networks thought the pictures would improve the network's bottom line. Fox shows TMZ on TV with no problem.
The issue is the networks are afraid of the NFL getting angry and doing something to cost the networks money.
Bingo. TMZ Sports and Deadspin, as awful as they sometimes can be, are hugely helpful when it comes to stories like this.

The problem is that everyone in this thread, including me, watched the NFL's product this weekend which includes domestic abusers, substance abusers and miscreants of every stripe. Until we stop, the networks will kowtow to the shield because that's what pays their bills at a time when they are losing eyeballs for every other type of content outside of live sports.

broncos season is not over we are just going to have to go the hard way out
denver dervsed to lose today colts is going to be 11-5
The Colts aren't winning out. No way. It's tough to win 8 in a row when you're a good team. Imagine how hard it is for a Pagano-coached team.

So, I guess we are the problem. Shit.

If you don't care who is in the game at RB Chip, then why did you spend over $11 million per year on players to man that position?

There it is again, a PF on an extra point. I mentioned this a few weeks ago: Given how common touchbacks are these days, the defense gets a virtually free whack at the kicking team on the extra point attempt.

Yep. The penalty should be enforced after the kickoff. If the kicking team commits the PF on the extra point, the defense gets to choose either having the kickoff from the 20 or take the 15 after the kickoff.

Matt Cassel has made somewhere between $60-75M dollars and I will now spend he rest of the night questioning my life choices.

I mean, he isn't good as an NFL QB by any means, but he is in the top 50 or so in the world at what he does. And what he does gets millions of viewers a week. Oh and a few years ago he was judged to be one of the top 10 or so at what he does. You think you could replicate that?

Considering contracts and value given up, the Eagles would be better off with Cassell than Bradford, I think.

It really is amazing. I mean, I get that one team is New York and the other is the Cowboys. And I also get that about the only interesting story this year is the Bengals, who don't have near the pull of a big market team. But even stoll, every week the Thursday, 430 game, Sunday night game or the Monday game involve one of these two mediocre-to-shit teams.

For a league that prides itself on parity and these brilliant TV deals they are demonstrating a mind-numbing lack of creativity.

Chip
- lets clock run on 2nd, then runs the ball - risk fumble, almost no upside
- 3rd down, chuck downfield, Bradford gets killed and is holding his chest
- 2s left for 4th down.

What's the point? Once you decide to run out the clock, just kneel.

Here
It's too bad Byron Jones didn't fall a few more spots. He would have been an amazing toy for Belichick.

No, and I realize in retrospect how my post sounded. I will never be as good at anything as Cassel is at football.

It's just an indicator of the stupid levels of money involved in the NFL. And how insanely lucky Cassel was that Brady went down in 2008. I wonder if he sends Pollard a fruit basket on the anniversary.

Pollard gets a thank you card. Pioli gets the fruit basket.

The schedule is made prior to the season. The Cowboys were a questionable call away from the NFC Championship last season. They are considered by many to be one of the best teams in the NFC with a healthy Romo. As it turns out, Romo got hurt and they've struggled with their backups. That's what has made them this bad.

I'm sure you and your crystal ball knew that Romo would get hurt and the Cowboys would lose every game after his injury, but the schedule makers lacked that kind of foresight.
