Yeah, I'm not a big fan of replay, but the camera angles and super slow motion shots are pretty amazingBut the NFL can't afford goal line cameras.
What if he goes back out for the 8th?That camera view was pretty amazing. That call probably does not get changed in the regular season.
I wonder if Maddon was really just using him for the high leverage spot. Taking the possible injury out if the equation, maybe you just bring him in there to get into the dugout with a 5 run lead, and you bring in whoever-the-fark else in the 8th and 9th.
Crazy, but maybe not crazy.
With having another former closer in Rondon, that may be the thinking. But it still may not be smart. That camera view was pretty amazing. That call probably does not get changed in the regular season.

Not in a win or go home game. If the next man in shits the bed, you don't have Chapman to stop the bleeding. If he's not hurt, he's pitching the remainder I'd think – unless the Cubs add on.That camera view was pretty amazing. That call probably does not get changed in the regular season.

That one is tougher than normal since they need to be watching both feet. Normally umps are just listening for the glove hitting the mitt on bang bang plays while watching the foot of the runner, which is why I think they tend to get them right much more often than they get it wrongLooked out in real time. Confirmed on replay. I think umps just guess on bang bang plays .
Possible. Or hope you score more in the 8th.That camera view was pretty amazing. That call probably does not get changed in the regular season.

Say they load the bases on whoever, now you don't have chapman to bring in. I think he's in until at least the beginning of the 9th.That camera view was pretty amazing. That call probably does not get changed in the regular season.

I can't imagine this. It would be beyond idiotic to have Chapman record a 7 out save with a 5 run lead and a do-or-die game tomorrow nightNot in a win or go home game. He's not hurtThis place would be melting down if Farrell and Kimbrel were the names in play...
So worst case, Chapman is out for game 7 -- they can replace, right?
Well then my theory would be wrong. What if he goes back out for the 8th?
This is where I'm at. I'll just about buy the "two men on and it was starting to get out of hand" makes the decision to bring in Chapman merely ill-advised. But running him 2 more innings after that play at first is jumping into the bear cage while wearing salmon-flavored deodorant level stupid.I can't imagine this. It would be beyond idiotic to have Chapman record a 7 out save with a 5 run lead and a do-or-die game tomorrow night
And he will have an especially long face if they lose. We're going to be seeing a lot of Lackey tomorrow
Yes. Maddon said that he only trusts 2 guys in his bullpen.I have not watched much Cubs baseball all year. Is the rest of the pen garbage?
They'll get him a nice full feed bag if that happens. And he will have an especially long face if they lose.
Could happen ...looks like heaviest rain wont arrive until after 11 pm. May just squeeze it in.Maybe Maddon is also an amateur meteorologist and he's counting on a rain-out tomorrow giving Chapman extra rest
The kid is crazy good in the field.Wow, Baez with a hell of a turn there. Bailed out Russell.
