For all the genius Bullpen-Tito talk, looks like he relied a little too much on Miller, (not that he had many choices).
Oh, boy. That makes up for one of the runs. And my guess that Miller is tired and Francona knew that is borne out.
David Ross while concussed in the previous inning on a wild pitch by Jon Lester that scored two Indians runs just hit a home run off of Andrew Miller. Baseball!
He probably did, but he also probably had to to get to a Game 7. Would have been fun to watch this series with Salazar, Carrasco, and Brantley all healthy.
Someone please explain to me what happened to Jon Lester's ability to field his position and throw to first? Did he get Chuck Knoblauch disease, or does he have a physical condition? Why are they not making a bigger deal about the fact that a major league pitcher can't do something most little leaguers can do?
If M Night Shaymalan grabbed it, it's going to have a really shitty twist at the end for the Cubs.
What is crazier: Thinking Rajai Davis released his throw to home quickly in the 4th Inning or that Maddon is in any danger of being fired?

Honestly, I think this is a best case scenario if you're rooting for the Cubs (assuming they do win) and hate Maddon. He isn't gonna get a ton of praise no matter what happens - that was too egregious of a mistake and when you combine it with what he did in Game 6...hopefully most people will give the players the credit.
Kluber, Miller, Lester, all giving up multiple runs tonight. Overwork is catching up to them. Just might catch up to Chapman too.
I don't believe that. I think he is genuinely making the moves he thinks gives the team the best chance to win. We can disagree with what he does, but there's no way he's being selfish here. If anything, it's the opposite. The pressure of trying to win for the Cubs after 100 plus years may be causing him to make hasty calls.
It really is strange. When did this happen? He's always been super particular about everything being just so, so the Ross thing isn't really news to me, but treating him like a Knoblauch on the mound makes his issues several orders of magnitude worse than I'd understood them to be. Its pretty damn weird.
