Fan-friggin-tastic.... thnxThis is tremendous if you're a fan of all the Boston teams. There's a ton of Pats stuff but it also includes the other titles this century.
Seriously, we've all gone through so many life changes since the start of this run. Crazy to think aboutThat video, holy shit. Yeah, that was somethin'. I went from single and dating my fiance in Attleboro, through Memphis, and now outside of Chicago with 3 kids in the span of those titles. That was awesome.
Thank you for that. AwesomeThis is tremendous if you're a fan of all the Boston teams. There's a ton of Pats stuff but it also includes the other titles this century.
Magical. This is tremendous if you're a fan of all the Boston teams. There's a ton of Pats stuff but it also includes the other titles this century.
And I'd forgotten him pouring water on the Vancouver ice. Man.Magical.
Man, Horton's goal against Montreal still gets me, almost 6 years later. But this whole thing is incredible. Brady's interview with Bradshaw.... awesome.
Really good article. Glad I clicked through to read all of it.
Brady motioning to Amendola that this pass will be easier if he moves over three feet. Falcons defense responds by not moving.

They like to say no one foresaw Tom Brady being an NFL superstar, and while I can add myself to the list of people who doubted, I can say I know one man who did not.
In 2000, my father, a University of Michigan Wolverines fan, told me on the phone, “Just you wait, you wait… This Tom Brady is incredible. He’s got the ‘it’ factor.” I laughed and told him he was crazy, that no such factor existed, and that the pro game was so different from the college game. Brady wouldn’t be able to duplicate any success he had at Michigan in the NFL. (Later my father would predict the Miami Dolphins should sign Drew Brees and I was like, “Dad, he’s had two shoulder surgeries. I mean, come on, he throws the ball for a living.” Basically, I need to listen to my father more). My Dad insisted Brady was the type of leader who would absolutely succeed at the NFL level, that I was overlooking his intangibles, and well, I obviously was.
We now know Tom Brady is the best quarterback in NFL history and likely the best player in NFL history. Not only does he have five Super Bowls, if he plays as long as he intends to play, he’ll probably have most of the major passing records (assuming Drew Brees, who is also quite spry for a thirty-eight-year-old, doesn’t outlast Brady). But, none of these accomplishments fully explain what my father was trying to tell me in 2000.
Eh, why bother? We're up by 16 with six minutes to go.

Such poor coverage. #32 had #22 right behind him for help over the middle so he should have been entirely focused on preventing an out towards the sideline. Instead, he basically gives Amendola a free lane to the corner of the end zone.

This video might need it's own thread. 5 minutes in and I just noticed Ivan Fears on the SB 36 sideline. Dante gets a lot of deserved love for his ling tenure but Fears is impressive. This is tremendous if you're a fan of all the Boston teams. Pretty sure what you're seeing in that GIF is the brace on his left arm as it goes to the turf. The ball looks to be cradled in his right, secure above the ground. That's a catch.Another fun fact from that article: I'd always kinda thought that Malcolm Mitchell catch was the closest to a ref error (i.e., that he actually dropped it) of any pass in the game. Fortunately, nobody challenged. But he slows down the play enough in this GIF that you can see the ball drop straight down after contact - I guess his emphatic slamming of the ball erased doubt in the officials' minds.
Who the fuck has ever called Tom Brady "California Cool" or The Pharaoh?

This is correct, he had the ball totally secure and that is his elbow pad.Pretty sure what you're seeing in that GIF is the brace on his left arm as it goes to the turf. The ball looks to be cradled in his right, secure above the ground. That's a catch.
That was great-thanks for posting. This is tremendous if you're a fan of all the Boston teams. There's a ton of Pats stuff but it also includes the other titles this century.
Mine came a day early. Standard NFL Network/Inside the NFL highlights of the reg season games so far.The NFL Films Super Bowl film comes out tomorrow on DVD/Blu-ray and on iTunes: https://itunes.apple.com/us/movie/nfl-super-bowl-li-champions-new-england-patriots/id1188473872
It's 12.99 and if I remember correctly from the one from 49 it's basically a mix of inside the NFL footage, turning point and some unseen footage.
Where can I find the BBC broadcast again? If you haven't already, grab a download of the BBC broadcast of the game, with or without breaks. Their methods are influenced (obviously) by their soccer experience. As a result, the game lives and breathes in an entirely different way and stands on its own. During US commercial breaks they cut to a studio team analyzing play.
In my opinion, it's a far, far superior broadcast and experience.
Jules' "for your mom. For your mom, bro" kills me every time. This is tremendous if you're a fan of all the Boston teams. There's a ton of Pats stuff but it also includes the other titles this century.
That Josh McDaniels seems pretty smart.
Sorry mobile users, it's a preview clip for three games to glory.
This has me really excited about 3G2G. I'd watch like... eight hours of this stuff.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks this. Zolak stepped all over Socci during the game especially on the final play.I will buy it for content like this but the actual games will be hard to watch for me. I just can't stand Zolak and his Matt Foley screaming. He steps all over Bob Socci during the biggest moments of the game. I wish they mixed in the national TV and radio calls.
We had already heard about that, tooGotta say - it's great but the Super Bowl disc doesn't have many bonus features we haven't already seen or heard that are particularly noteworthy; they spoiled more than I thought they did prior to release.
Though this was great:
The story about Malcolm losing two of his allocated Super Bowl tickets before SB49, only to have someone find them so his mom could ultimately get into the game, is absolutely fantastic
I hadn't.We had already heard about that, too
