According to the NLU live show, mud ball is indeed frowned upon and the announcers are told not to say it.Wonder if "mudball" is acceptable vocabulary n the presence of ANGC members.

Faster and yet still soft. The scores after round 1 are going to be insanely low. And I’ll be shocked if Casey is still in the lead when it ends.Greens seem much faster.
Old man alert. Langer at -4.
I'm having the same issue, may listen to a few podcasts and just put this on mute on my third computer screen. Odd because it defaulted to no commentary yesterday when I opened it.Anyone know how to shut the commentary off?
I'm a little unclear on the rules. He took a penalty to get out from under the unplayable bushes?Interesting that - unlike Bryson’s ball yesterday - no one was helping Rory look. And yet, he still found it.
Yes. So unplayable, not lost ball.I'm a little unclear on the rules. He took a penalty to get out from under the unplayable bushes?
Yeah I feel like a junkie. You can't give me something like that then take it awayI'm having the same issue, may listen to a few podcasts and just put this on mute on my third computer screen. Odd because it defaulted to no commentary yesterday when I opened it.
Yup.I'm a little unclear on the rules. He took a penalty to get out from under the unplayable bushes?
Some of these guys make it look like my computer has buffering issues.Holy crap that guy Cantley shuffled his feet FIVE times before attempting that putt, I was like I hope he misses...and he did.
They said yesterday they were hoping to start around 9:35 but that seems rather ambitious to me.Any info on second round tee times yet?
The last players to go out still have 5 holes to play. So it's at least a couple of hours away, still. Some of these guys make it look like my computer has buffering issues.
All the groups should be clear of the 1st and 10th tees at this point. Just depends on how quickly they can cut the pins. They said yesterday they were hoping to start around 9:35 but that seems rather ambitious to me.
I know he had all sorts of injury problems and eventually lost all of his status. He might be the kind of guy who is just happy with what he's accomplished and doesn't have the drive to pretty much start all over again. Until 10 years from now.Immelman's only 40, did he get injured or just hang it up? Kinda surprised he chooses the booth over playing in this.
He’s been out of sorts at Augusta since his blow up in the final round in 2011.I don't think I've ever seen Rory this out of sorts
I understand that. He’s been out of sorts at Augusta since his blow up in the final round in 2011.
Is that right? Doesn’t he have a few top tens there? He’s been out of sorts at Augusta since his blow up in the final round in 2011.
5 top 10's in 8 tournaments (now 9) since 2011, was in the final pairing with Reed in 2018.He’s been out of sorts at Augusta since his blow up in the final round in 2011.
I'm obviously exaggerating (because yes, he's had some decent tournaments) but when his tempo is off or his confidence wavers just a little bit, Rory goes off the rails at Augusta like nowhere else.Is that right? Doesn’t he have a few top tens there?
I mean it’s clearly a mental thing but I still think he’ll get one eventually.
I do think that most of his top 10's have been back door, when he's never really been in contention.5 top 10's in 8 tournaments (now 9) since 2011, was in the final pairing with Reed in 2018.
Sure, I just think the "he's spooked at Augusta" thing is a little overblown. He can play well here and has in the past.. He's been bad since the Covid restart, so this isn't all that surprising.I do think that most of his top 10's have been back door, when he's never really been in contention.
He doesn't get nearly enough respect on the all-time great scale. He didn't play in the US a lot but won 43 times on the European Tour, along with a pair of Masters wins, and may be the best senior player ever. He's still making cuts in the real majors too. It's going to be a very long day for Langer. But, man, he's been so steady for so long now, it's amazing.
It must be related to the delay, this is the golf that should have been on TV yesterday afternoon.(the end of round one) So I guess they still got to show it and I agree with you, this is extremely great.By the way, is this normal for ESPN to have live coverage this early in the day? Are they going to be on all day now because they had to end the first round this morning? This is great.
This is not normal. I'm pretty sure they'll go off air after Im's group finished 18 since they are the last group on the course for round 1.By the way, is this normal for ESPN to have live coverage this early in the day? I notice this recently too. It's really slick.JT has elite club twirl and quick step swag.
Shucks, it would be cool if they just kept at it, the 2nd round has started. On my guide it says the coverage is over at 10:30am.
