Everyone knows Brooks as the big burly hitter, but his short game touch doesn't get enough love. When he's on, he makes it look so easy.
Exact same for me. The wife ran in to the room to see why I was laughing so hard.I’m a bad person but I was laughing while Jordan screamed at his ball to sit.
Oh wow, Xander is 0 for 3. What a crazy stat.I chuckle at the narrative that Spieth going to implode when Xander has yet to convert a 54 hole lead to a win. Gonna be an entertaining day of golf no matter what.

Thanks for your always valuable and timely contributions.Oh wow, Xander is 0 for 3. What a crazy stat.
Not even comparable, what stupid commentary.
Tired and a little cranky this morning. Which is the same as every other morning, really. But tell me how you really feel.
I bet most of the caddies won't even use them. It's not like the players aren't sure of the pin positions or don't have a whole human being whose job is to not only know the distance, but actually know the shot required to end up that distance. I'm not sure I get the purpose of it unless they hope it speeds up play. The PGA of America announces it will allow rangefinders at all of it's tournaments, including teh PGA Championship in May.
Come on. They will be used by everyone. What is the downside for a professional golfer to know the exact distance to the hole?I bet most of the caddies won't even use them. I use my rangefinder to get distances to all sorts of things besides the pin. How far to carry the front bunker, how far to the back of the green, distances to layup spots and staying short of trouble, etc.Agree with John. Its a long time overdue. It only gives the distance to the pin, the caddies will still need to figure out how far to carry the ball, work with the player to decide shot shape, etc.
I bet they tuck the pins a bit more too, although the greens are so small it’s hard to truly “tuck” them. One thing about AT&T Pebble Beach this week that's different from years past, and should make for a better event for the pros is that, since there are no amateurs, they are playing from the US open tees and the rough is grown up. With the predicted bad weather, it could make for a real tough week.
Not only that, but the leaders will go off last on Saturday (and all at Pebble), which - along with the lack of celebrity hits and giggles - will make that broadcast 10 times more watchable than it normally is.I love that they get 3 rounds on PB instead of the usual 2, as well.
Also a good point. Not only that, but the leaders will go off last on Saturday (and all at Pebble), which - along with the lack of celebrity hits and giggles - will make that broadcast 10 times more watchable than it normally is.
He's 18 under in his last 26 holes, with the 61 at the American Express.Cantlay making Pebble look easy right now
Bergs wanted Spieth to sleep on the lead.Berger is OB on 18. Don’t think I have ever seen that on this hole.
It didn't on the 10th - that might have been the most encouraging swing he's made in three years. But that was pretty inexcusable on the 11th.Driver betraying Speith
Yeah, the 10th was the outlierIt didn't on the 10th - that might have been the most encouraging swing he's made in three years. But that was pretty inexcusable on the 11th.
Ha. Literally said the same thing. Been an awesome day so far.For as weak of a field as it was this week, this is one heck of a leaderboard.
