General timeline here:
- May 8/9 2010- John Doe assaulted by Aldrich
- May 23. 2010- Chicago VP of Hockey Administration, Al McIssac is made aware of the allegations. He sends John Gary (mental skills coach and team counselor) to talk to John Doe. - May 23, 2010- In the immediate aftermath of winning the WCF (within an hour or so) a meeting occured between senior management about the allegations. Those present were John McDonough (tem president), McIssac, Bowman (GM), Cheveldayoff (AGM), Quenneville, John Gary, Jay Blunk (EVP). They discuss what to do. Overwhelming theme is Stanley Cup takes precedent, we don't need bad PR now, don't need to disrupt team chemistry. Sounds like the recollections of this meeting differed quite a bit. This is where Bowman says McDonough ended the meeting saying he'd take care of it.
- Aldrich is allowed to remain with the team. On June 10th he allegedly made a sexual advance on a Blackhawks intern during team Stanley Cup celebrations.
- June 14th, McDonough informs Human Resources of the allegations and the 5/23 meeting.
- June 16th Aldrich meets with HR and is given the choice between undergoing an investigation or resigning. Aldrich resigns, and essentially dictates the terms of his separation including his day with the Cup.
