Decided by bad foul call against Duke. They should err in favor of letting them play at the end of a game like this, although I didn't see any contact at all on the bad call.

Play-by-Play: “Duke really struggling at the line tonight. Just 12-20.”

Color: “Give credit to Carolina”

Great, great game. Well done Carolina.

Now we all need to hope that Bacot's ankle is going to be ok for Monday because they'll absolutely need him to be close to 100% against Kansas. If not, they could get absolutely smoked. And that wouldn't be fun to watch as a neutral fan who just wants a great game.

I forgot Roy played for UNC. I just thought he coached both Kansas and UNC. Yeah, he'll root for the Tar Heels. But still...he was at Kansas for a long time.

Roy will probably wear UNC gear with a Kansas sticker like he did in 08 or whenever it was

Maybe Coach K's players would have been able to dig a little deeper had their coach not humiliated them in front of a building full of the team's greatest alumni after losing to these same Tar Heels following Coach K's final game at Cameron.

Oh come on.. Duke went to the foul line how many times? And if you're saying the one call the other way was soft... how bout the fifth foul on Bacot?

Grant Hill getting to see this loss in person is a nice added touch.

I don’t mind Grant. He’s in Bernie Williams category for me.

I will never understand how UNC lost to 195th ranked Pitt at home fairly late in the season.
Pitt was really physical that entire game (which was kind of the formula to beat them up to that point) and threw Carolina off the whole way. But it was also exactly what they needed b/c they've lost once since.

It was a heck of a game. Good one to go out on. Would’ve liked to make a few more shots, but that’s the deal. I do hope UNC spanks Kansas though. Can’t root against the conference.

Much respect to Coach K for doing a interview right after this kind of loss.

Yeah..you're probably right.. I've just grown tired of having a Duke alum on the broadcasting team of every UNC Duke game for the last decade... Bilas, I believe Williams at one point, Hill.. always seems to be one.

Why is everyone here killing Manek? He made it extremely difficult for Banchero and kept him in check when UNC had no other matchup. His knocked down 3-6 threes. He kept a couple rebounds alive and hedged well defensively. What am I missing here?

He blew some important free throws.

Other than that, I’m with you 100 percent.

Late to the party, but I’m on cloud nine. Watched the game with my parents, my wife and our 7 year old daughter (daughter was in the room anyway). My parents had me watching Carolina games from the time I was able to crawl. This may be the happiest night of them all for all of us. Hell of a game and the good guys came out on top. Fuck Dook.

Right. I get the frustration with FTs for both teams but reading how he’s regressed when he was the best player on the floor in the Marquette game and maybe the Baylor one too. Silly talk.

Even just coaching it's not that close. He was at UNC for 10 years as an assistant coach and 18 years as head coach. He was head coach at Kansas for 15 years.

And even before he was coaching officially:
Williams went on to play on the freshman team at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and study the game under coach Dean Smith. When Williams was a sophomore at North Carolina, he asked Smith if he could attend his practices and would sit in the bleachers taking notes on Smith's coaching. Williams also volunteered to keep statistics for Smith at home games and worked in Smith's summer camps.
He grew up in North Carolina and worked as a high school coach there before joining Smith's staff, too.
