Seems light, given that a Mitchell/Garland/Mobley core is going to win a lot of regular season games going forward. Wonder what else is in there.Woj: Cavs sending 3 unprotected 1sts plus 2 pick swaps.

Edit: Sexton and Markkanen...this still seems quite ok for Cleveland.
Right that's my point: seems light from Cleveland's side.I dunno, that's less than Minny gave up for Gobert (because one of the Minny picks was protected) and everyone lost their minds over that.
Utah is hoping Mitchell walks in 3 years. These are some pretty far-in-the-future first-rounders. Curious what years the pick swaps are for.

Think he has 4 left, but yep.Utah is hoping Mitchell walks in 3 years.
Did Utah get more than this for Gobert though? 4 picks and 1 swap and salary filler compared to 3 picks, 2 swaps, and a really good player on Sexton.Interesting deal.
3 unprotected 1sts, 2 swaps, the guy just drafted 14th a promising 23 year old former top 10 pick on a very reasonable deal and a guy you can probably move for something in Markkanen, but also if you keep he's only 25.
That's better than any of the rumored Knicks' offers
Edit- also Gobert should get more than Mitchell he's a significantly better player
The fourth year is a player option (somewhat surprised the Jazz gave him one) so effectively three if he wants to leaveThink he has 4 left, but yep.
Lineup seems good but awfully redundant...I wonder if there's a deal to be made where it's like LeVert for a 3&D guy.Allen/Mobley/LeVert/Mitchell/Garland with Okoro/Love/Osman/Rubio/Wade off bench. It’s a nice rotation. Agree you really would like another two-way wing in there; maybe they believe in Okoro…and it may be as simple as “that’s easier to fill than prime-time scorer:” as a role
Yeah, love this for the Cavs. That’s a genuinely scary team: traded away a legend in his own mind (Sexton) and an over-rated big who is far worse than Allen and Mobley along with what should be late FRPs. Not sure I see the problem there. On the flip they get a difference maker who will elevate them in the playoffs.Allen/Mobley/LeVert/Mitchell/Garland with Okoro/Love/Osman/Rubio/Wade off bench. Yeah actually it's close, the players are goodDid Utah get more than this for Gobert though? 4 picks and 1 swap and salary filler compared to 3 picks, 2 swaps, and a really good player on Sexton.
Not sure which package is better honestly.

You have to start Okoro and bring Lavert off the bench, no? That's putting a ton of responsibility on the backline with how poor those perimeter defenders are.Allen/Mobley/LeVert/Mitchell/Garland with Okoro/Love/Osman/Rubio/Wade off bench. More than likely, Bronni is going where Lebron goes (via 2nd round pick or undrafted FA)I can't see it happening because he'll try to go where Bronni goes, but LeBron would slot really nicely alongside Garland/Mitchell/Mobley/Allen in a year or two.
It doesn’t matter either way honestly.Knicks fans, how you feeling? Sound off in the comments below.
But how can the Knicks break up the "Mid 3"?As an Obi Toppin fan I’m disappointed he won’t be going to Utah and getting 30 MPG of run. Conversely, I’m sure his family is happy that the native NewYorker is staying put. Now I have to rest my hopes on a Julius Randle trade.
Good work.Danny has enough picks to start working on the Anthony Davis & Kyrie tandem again.
This seems to be the most common take out there so far.I'm not sure what the NYK offer would look like to beat what Cleveland gave up, but given where the Knicks are as a team right now (not great and nowhere near GFIN), I'm good with not going there.
I was a bit confused about Utah's '24/'26/'28 1st round picks not being here...Here's Utah's full pick stash:

I can't read & the '26 & '28 1sts are on there as potential swaps, my bad.2024 first round draft pick to Oklahoma City
Utah's 1st round pick to Oklahoma City protected for selections 1-10 in 2024, 1-10 in 2025 and 1-8 in 2026 (if Utah has not conveyed a 1st round pick to Oklahoma City by 2026, then Utah's obligation to Oklahoma City will be extinguished) [Oklahoma City-Utah, 7/30/2021; Oklahoma City-Utah, 1/4/2022]
Huge motivation to get better by 2025-26, when pick swaps start kicking in.Here's Utah's full pick stash:

Full tear down over this season, Trader Danny is back for the next 2 seasons. Now I wonder what Danny does next. Take the long view and use the picks or trade them for more semi all-stars?
I wonder what happens if their '26 1st conveys to the Thunder so they don't have anything to swap. I guess they just lose their swapportunities.Huge motivation to get better by 2025-26, when pick swaps start kicking in.
If he gets enough 1sts, he certainly ought to.Danny wouldn't but Westbrook for Conley + Bog cleared the trade machine.
