Yeah I've assumed Phoenix was never going to be able to do this because the Nets wouldn't bother without Booker, and if they traded Booker, the team wouldn't be good enough. Good for Phoenix, they jump right to the top of West with this.Durant to the Suns?!?!
Wow...
Assuming they didnt give up Booker but A LOT of other stuff.
Not much the Nets could do if KD wanted out, which Woj is implying he did. That's a lot of picks but honestly kind of limited upside on the NBA talent. They're both 26, so not super young.
Kind of think they should have waited til the offseason over a couple solid guys and the Suns draft for the foreseeable future
no huge upside player, but two good young players, a lot of picks, and I assume they'll flip Crowder on for something, probably shop all their other vetsThat's a lot of picks but honestly kind of limited upside on the NBA talent. They're both 26, so not super young.

Didn't have to be the Suns did it?Not much the Nets could do if KD wanted out, which Woj is implying he did.
No doubt, zero chance to protect the picks in a deal like this. Also, uh, all the picks are unprotected lol

This would be a better haul if Booker weren't just 26 and signed through 2028.Also, uh, all the picks are unprotected lol

Kind of interesting to do a complete blow up and end up with Finney-Smith, Dinwiddie, Bridges, Cam Johnson, and Crowder.no huge upside player, but two good young players, a lot of picks, and I assume they'll flip Crowder on for something, probably shop all their other vets
For what, Claxton?Maybe Brad can pick through the Nets carcass by tomorrow.
On the other hand, he's got the hamstrings of a 45 year old. There's a good chance none of their 3 best players are anywhere near what they are now by 2025.This would be a better haul if Booker weren't just 26 and signed through 2028.
If it's allowed, have to imagine at minimum Crowder, Dinwiddie, and Finney-Smith will be shopped heavily tomorrow for more picks or higher upside younger players.Maybe Brad can pick through the Nets carcass by tomorrow.
Anything is possible, but no mater what they do, they are trying to not tank. Although this year they probably already at least make the play in.If it's allowed, have to imagine at minimum Crowder, Dinwiddie, and Finney-Smith will be shopped heavily tomorrow for more picks or higher upside younger players.
Yep. DFS intrigues me.If it's allowed, have to imagine at minimum Crowder, Dinwiddie, and Finney-Smith will be shopped heavily tomorrow for more picks or higher upside younger players.
Have to imagine they will try to deal Crowder if they can. It’s pretty hilarious after sitting out all season, Crowder gets sent to the remnants of the Nets. Maybe they’ll trade him again?
Cam Thomas is good for 40+ a night.Have to imagine they will try to deal Crowder if they can.
This Nets team is a great supporting cast if they could just find 1-2 star players.... Alas.
Yeah Crowder makes no sense for them. So if you can move him you do it. Nets are still playoff caliber with the group they haveHave to imagine they will try to deal Crowder if they can.
This Nets team is a great supporting cast if they could just find 1-2 star players.... Alas.
Have we ever seen a team as high up in the standings as Brooklyn (5th) tear it all down at the trade deadline? If it's allowed, have to imagine at minimum Crowder, Dinwiddie, and Finney-Smith will be shopped heavily tomorrow for more picks or higher upside younger players.
Never mind of course the fact that the only reason he was there in the first place is because of Kyrie
I never can understand what the hell he's saying.
#TheKyrieExperienceHave we ever seen a team as high up in the standings as Brooklyn (5th) tear it all down at the trade deadline?
With JB out for a while it seems like a good fit…Crowder in play to return home for a 2nd rounder?
True, but if Durant goes down, and Paul ages out, the Suns don't have ways to get much better around Booker and Ayton, because lots of draft equity is gone (although it seems they retained their swaps). Just a Booker/Ayton team could easily visit the lottery, and that's without injuries. This would be a better haul if Booker weren't just 26 and signed through 2028.
Yeah, also imagine if they had the Lakers 27, 29 and maybe a swap. They'd be in that Utah/OKC class of infinite, high-value draft capital. The Nets should have taken the package with better draft picks the Clippers offered for Kyrie if the plan was to blow it up and rebuild.
Meh. The Celtics were better.Kyrie and Durant sent to the WC...Thank you, Joe Tsai
The Celtics broke their will last week!
Looks a lot like Boston and Milwaukee in a class by themselves. Philly's roster just isn't good enough to make you pay consistently for helping hard on Embiid.Meh. The Celtics were better.
The East is suddenly less entertaining.
Yup.Looks a lot like Boston and Milwaukee in a class by themselves. Philly's roster just isn't good enough to make you pay consistently for helping hard on Embiid.
The main takeaway for me is that being the 2/3 seed looks a lot less scary now. If the Celtics drop there because of injuries, it's fine.Yup.
Now just need Middleton or Jrue to get shipped out. Patty C too wouldn't hurt.
OTOH Dallas, PHX, and Lakers just got much more entertaining.Meh. The Celtics were better.
The East is suddenly less entertaining.
