Kane's only had
He had one sexual assault allegation that he wasn't charged for and the accuser's mother stated was a hoax. I cannot find other accusations other than he used to sleep around a bunch in his younger days.
There was the first rape claim from a woman in Buffalo. A few months later, there was as second rape claim in Los Angeles while he was there playing the Kings. In truth, I don't know enough about either of the claims details. Maybe they were both full of shit. I dunno.
But there has been plenty of smoke around Kane. Multiple people saying he was following women into the bathroom during the infamous Cinco De Mayo party he attended while at Wisconsin - neither of the aforementioned rape cases are tied to this event, but it was reported that he choked a woman (women?) that rejected his advances.
And that says nothing about the cab driver incident, or the multiple people who claimed they heard him dropping anti-semitic comments while drinking at a party.
Regardless, on one hand we have a young kid that did some really, shitty, awful bullying, apologized for it, owned up to it (who knows how contrite he really was, of course), said he'd try to use his mistakes as a foundation to help similar people to the ones he hurt...and on the other hand we have Patrick Kane. Who has never apologized, has continued to be a shithead, and seemingly went out of his way to shit on Kyle Beach for stepping forward about his sexual assault experience (or at the least, defended Bowman and minimized the situation until he was called out on it).
People can try to navigate the duality of morality however they want. But there are a lot of people who were pretty outspoken about Miller - and how that portrayed the front office - that seem to be more than OK with bringing in someone with a questionable background. The difference, of course, is that one of them is a former 100 point player, and the other one was a fringe roster player.
