Red Sox record vs the Yankees in September over the past few years has to be terrible

Probably time to sit Wink for the rest of the year, he’s at 75 innings at this point. Not DL him, but just let him sit in the pen and work maybe a couple of more times.

I remember thinking at the time after the HR that, knowing these Red Sox, they would score on the first pitch of the game and then not again. But it seemed too silly to say.

I recall a game at Fenway where Ellis Burks led off the bottom of the first with a homer for a 1-0 lead, but that was the entire offense. The Sox lost big, something like 12-1.
