Well it is the Giants so maybe it could have worked.Oh FFS. Just punt. Why waste the TO for that nonsense.

A timeout. Should have taken the delay of game. Why wouldn't you try that? What is the cost?
A timeout in the Game of the Century. Why wouldn't you try that? What is the cost?
Surrounded by a juggernaut OL, it all makes me wonder if Mac was ever fully challenged in college. He lost 3 games in 3 years. Was never truly exposed?Mac turns that over.
Depends on how you look at it. lolComplete waste of a TO.
The OL gave up 5 sacks in the first half last game. There's plenty of crap to go around on the offense. For real though...at what point do we accept that Mac is entirely the offensive problem?
One (1) timeout and a chance for the offense to practice a high-leverage play? Why wouldn't you try that? What is the cost?

Like a lot of college QBs on juggernaut programs, no not at all.Surrounded by a juggernaut OL, it all makes me wonder if Mac was ever fully challenged in college. He lost 3 games in 3 years. Was never truly exposed?
They were probably watching for a certain look and didn't get it.Assuming that Bill is never going to tank, that was really stupid.
Maybe, but why do we care, really? We are now at the stage of a terrible season where everything is criticized whether it makes sense or not. This game does not matter. This season is over. They should absolutely try some stuff that they've practiced. This is now a time to see what can be kept and what no longer gives joy.One (1) timeout and a chance for the offense to practice a high-leverage play?
Next, have them take the pebble from your handMaybe, but why do we care, really? We are now at the stage of a terrible season where everything is criticized whether it makes sense or not. They are playing, quite possibly, the only team in the NFL that is worse than they are.I'm somewhat convinced that a decent QB and some returning players will turn this team around to being legit competitive.
I think they’re like 7-8 offensive players short. Douglas, Onwenu and Henry are the only guys I’d really hang onto.I'm somewhat convinced that a decent QB and some returning players will turn this team around to being legit competitive.
My read has been that the problem wasn’t initially Mac – he played with a lot of confidence and consistency his rookie year. But the dysfunction of last season combined with the OL and receiver problems this year just destroyed that confidence. For real though...at what point do we accept that Mac is entirely the offensive problem?
This is sweet. But not in line with reality.I'm somewhat convinced that a decent QB and some returning players will turn this team around to being legit competitive.
Mac's signature win in his career was a game he threw 3 passes. My read has been that the problem wasn’t initially Mac – he played with a lot of confidence and consistency his rookie year. I would guess Mac is done for the year barring injury. But to sit here and just say like @FL4WL3SS (to pick one famous Mac hater) that Mac sucks and has always sucked just isn’t borne out by the facts.
