I think Clottey is a real solid fighter and would have a chance against Cotto if this fight was taking place in any other city besides NYC, and the day before the Puerto Rican day parade. I just don't see him getting the decision and he's not really known for knock outs. I think he would have to...

there's no way Manny's retiring after one more fight. He can do so much more for his country by fighting than getting into the political game. Also, I don't think Marquez/Floyd gets anywhere near the number Manny/Hatton reached. Summer ppv's usually don't do that great. And most people...

Looks like the July 18th ppv might be stacked with big name fighters on the undercard. You know Judah will be fighting and ESPN reported over the last couple of weeks that there is a chance Eric Morales and Jorge Linares might also fight on the undercard. Of course all this means nothing to me...

I think 144 is going to be too much for Marquez. I'm picking Money May by UD.

You know alot of people are giving credit to Top Rank and Golden Boy for moving their cards out of the casinos, but the truth is that the casinos have a part in that as well. As of late they've been really cautious with paying site fees to hold fights. I just don't get why they would put money...

I'm really looking forward to tonight's fight. With so much talk about how neither guy is a major draw I expect both of them to try and put on an entertaining fight. It's sad that the building will be about 80% empty. It reminds me of the first fight between Corrales and Castillo. Both that...

the Peter/Chambers fight was extremely dissapointing. Peter was in terrible shape and looks like he's lost his love of fighting. And with his performance I don't think Eddie Chambers got anything out of that victory. He really should of been able to stop Peter late in that fight but didn't seem...

HBO better not waste any money on a tune up fight for Mayweather. The last time they paid big money for a tune up fight was Oscar/Forbes. That fight had average ratings and then Mayweather backed out of his rematch with Oscar. And if I was HBO I would hold that against Mayweather the next time...

Dan Rafael is reporting that HBO has got a nice little tripleheader in the works involving Kirkland/Dzindziruk, Ortiz/ Kotelnik, and Juarez/John II. I think offers have been made but nothing is finalized as of yet.

Dan Rafael is reporting that GBP could be putting Ortiz up against Stevie Forbes next. Not exactly the fight I was hoping for.

Steve Kim from maxboxing is reporting that Calzaghe/RJJ did less than 250,000 buys. HBO apparently felt that doing a 24/7, even for a crappy fight could get them huge numbers. Don't forget also that Hopkins/Pavlik did under 200,000 buys. I was initially happy to hear these numbers in the hopes...

just read that Lawrence Cole will be the referee for the Diaz/Katsidis fight in a couple of weeks. What a joke!

for a guy that has taken on all the big names throughout his career, going out against Sergio Mora is pretty weak. I still think Manny and Oscar will work something out. Also, I think Sergio loses his rematch to Forrest September 13.

Margarito-Clottey II and Haye's heavyweight debut have to fit somewhere in that schedule too. from what I've heard Margarito/Clottey is expected to be on ppv on November 1st. Also, HBO has apparently passed on Haye's first heavyweight fight due to budget issues.

I don't know how I feel about Hopkins/Pavlik yet. It should be an interesting fight but as much as I like Pavlik I don't think I'll be spending $50 to see Hopkins fight. And with Hopkins dreadful performance against Calzaghe last time out I don't think many other people will either.
