It’s a shame he got hurt early(plus had to deal with the foot injury all preseason) or he’d have been the national POY. I really believe that. We haven’t seen him scratch the surface of how good he can be.
It's the NCAA Tournament, and all it takes is one and you're out, but UConn can play any style - they can win a shootout, a track meet, a defensive rock fight. They can pound it inside, and they can rain threes. They can get up and down the court, and they can run incredible half court sets. They're talented and super deep, and incredibly well coached.
They are, at the collegiate level, a team without a weakness.
They can lose, because a good team can play great (Villanova - Georgetown) but man, they're so, so good. Clearly the best team in the country.

They can win without him. Of course it's much harder, but they've got so many good players. And Samson Johnson is a really good backup.
Yeah — Sanogo Clingan was such a great double punch. No team really has that type of luxury this year though.

Two bad second halves for UConn. Hard to analyze with big leads but you can’t take your foot off the gas like this in the tournament.
UConn is still going to win this by a large margin but this last ten minute stretch can’t make Hurley happy.
Well, it gets real for Connecticut now. Best team in the country maybe but not the best team in the tournament so far.
Hard to stay as dominant as they were in the first half. Putting up 75 in a game where they’re 3-22 from 3 just tells you how well-rounded they are.
Yeah absolutely. They took what the defense gave. Still, the concern is that it has been a few games now where they have been challenged to play well for a full 40. Can’t take possessions off for the rest of the year or they will not get to where they want to be. Glad they get some time off now.
Yeah I think that 5-6 minute stretch was not great. I think if the game is closer you’d see less lapses of concentration.

Houston finally starting to pull away. They're my pick but A&M gave them everything they could handle.
Really? UConn among the sports fans I know is one of the only men's basketball programs more hated than Duke.
It's basically wherever Calipari is, UConn, and Duke at the top of the list.
You think so? I’ve never experienced much UConn hate and I’ve lived all over the country. Maybe you need to spend less time hanging with AleX and the BC crowd.
Calhoun gets a lot of hate going back to encouraging Jake Voshkul's elbows in my experience. He was just considered pretty dirty, which stuck with the program.
This is turning into a very chalky tournament. Basically no real upset in the second round except Clemson I guess.
