Is it my imagination or does he not look at the ball when he swings? When he doesn’t swing he follows it to the mitt but when he swings he finishes the swing looking at the pitcher.

Bobby.
I had a kid in youth baseball who was so nervous he wouldn't swing. So I told he had to swing at every pitch or he would run.
That worked - but the guy was just frozen. Reminds me Bobby.

Maybe batting Bobby 5th is an encouraging sign that they'd be ready to pinch hit with Devers as soon as a righty reliever is in the game. That's all I've got.

Edit: great defense. Sigh.

Travis Shaw’s career ended for less but we’re stuck with Bobby D.

Edit: Not his fault and I feel for him but he doesn’t belong anywhere near an MLB roster at this point.

Yeah I’m not mad at him or anything but the dude just can‘t hit

Good quick inning, Bello should get through 5 now. Can we score a bunch and make this a Chase Anderson joint?

Did NESN hire a high school AV club to operate the cameras for this season? It’s been truly terrible

Bello settles down, takes care of business. At 90 pitches in five innings early in the season, it's time to pull him.
