Felger and Mazz - Creating False Naratives one day at a time

Not to start a tangent, but lol @ thinking this originated with the Howard Stern Show

I guess I could respond if I knew anything about you/had any idea who you are.

I don't think his main objective there is to be funny. To me it's just a dumb guy who gets annoyed by really inconsequential things.

    Joe Posnanski: Lord of Lists

Schur is not very knowledgeable. I actually thought less of him after listening to this.

Felger and Mazz - Creating False Naratives one day at a time

I took a quick look at Felger's mail bag while looking for another blog of his and saw this response to a question (rant) about how the Red Sox suck. "Red Sox backlash, anyone? I guess this is what happens when you sell membership cards to become a fan, endlessly promote Sox-themed dating and...

Amen. Sucks that their isn't a quality, Red Sox-centric one out there, though.

    Kirk and Callahan: Done

I actually like Meter. I think he's far more self-aware than some of these posts are giving him credit for.

    Mut and Merloni

I like Merloni. He is by far the most knowledgeable person wrt baseball on the radio right now (not that that's saying much). It's too bad EEI locked him up, Merloni/Felger would be a great show.

Felger and Mazz - Creating False Naratives one day at a time

How many weekly guests have they had before (for the entire show, not Gasper type cameos)? I'm pretty sure zero. That's basically the definition of an adjustment.

Felger and Mazz - Creating False Naratives one day at a time

In and of itself, who cares. But it shows that they're willing to make adjustments to the show/lineup, which is great news.

Felger and Mazz - Creating False Naratives one day at a time

Yeah, but saying he doesn't pay attention or even watch them is a cop out, imo. That actually gives him an excuse for being so terrible. I prefer to believe that he has full conviction in all of his retarded opinions.

Felger and Mazz - Creating False Naratives one day at a time

BTW, I was just revisiting that old Boston Magazine article on EEI that was linked in the other thread and this bit on Mazz stood out: This is when he was a rotating co-host on the most popular show, now he is one half of the most popular show that took down the previous most popular show. Can...

Felger and Mazz - Creating False Naratives one day at a time

The worst part about them agreeing on everything is the fact that all the promos and whatnot for the show, and a lot of the humor in the actual show is derived from "Oh these two really get each other's goat! What an odd couple!". I mean it's just a hacky radio ploy but it's amazing to think how...

Yeah can we get a summary of his media-rant here? Doesn't seem to be one of the audio clips on their site from today's show.

Adding a third mic is probably the only thing that could make me start listening to this show again.

Halloran is truly the bottom of the barrel. One of the only people that will cause me to immediately to close the stream.

That doesn't really sound like Moss. I could buy that it was Moss trying to disguise his voice a bit. That dude has a thicker/slightly different southern accent than Moss.

I would pass up the opportunity to have sex with any of them if it meant I could kill Tony Mazz.

You could save a lot of felines if you only did it when his statement was actually fact and not an opinion.

Felger and Mazz - Creating False Naratives one day at a time

This is no secret, it's Felger's philosophy on life. He thinks it's his job to "keep the owners honest". He's a crusader in his own mind. It's both irritating and adorable.
