Player participation policy means that Embiid almost certainly plays. Normally I'd love to miss him, but on a back-to-back after logging almost 38 minutes in a bad loss, I'm thinking he won't be at his best. If we can force Embiid to contest early and contain Maxey, I think we'll be in good shape.

If KP was still limited in the shootaround, I hope they use him sparingly.

Embiid is the only Sixer who qualifies for the "star player" label, so they either need to find a legit injury or play him. The policy requires "that star players are available for all national television and NBA In-Season Tournament games". Since this game is on ESPN, they don't have a lot of wiggle room.

He's listed on the Sixers' injury report as questionable.

I'll be interested to see who they start. Hauser in theory, but I think I'd start Brissett or Stevens instead. You probably want to stagger the non-shooting energy dudes.

This is one of those games where I go in fearing the worst, only to be pleasantly surprised by the C's heart. Hope that happens tonite, but I have no idea how Boston is going to stop Embiid.

Al is going to have to play a lot of minutes tonight. Hope the old man is up for the challenge.

Ugh, I was looking forward to an early season statement after last Wednesday. Now they're coming in less healthy than PHI despite being on better rest.

Pritchard is going to need to score tonight. The bench units are going to be anemic on offense.

Jrue is such a bull, and he's using that strength tonight. I really think he's a level, or a half level, above Smart on defense.

Banton does a lot of basketball things well. Most of the ones that don’t involve a basketball ending up in the hoop. He struggles with that one though, which is kind of an important one.

I’m happy with our coaching situation. Would prefer Philly hadn’t landed one of the better coaches in the game though. Their offense is so much crisper this year, and while I know Maxey has improved, I think the vast majority of the difference is coaching.
