Not supposed to be but tonight looked like it was. They should all have the same clear coat according to what I heard earlier in the season
Gym I play in redid their floors this summer (actually remodeled the gym) and the first time I got back on the floor, there were slick spots, particularly near the lines. Not sure why - maybe the clear coat collected at certain spots because of the floor design?

Just guessing here.

I was figuring you guys were just fucking around, but it seems people think the paint changes the floor surface. It does not. Whether you play on wood or paint or whatever, the floor surface is polyurethane. Paint (or wood) would never last, not even for the duration of a single basketball game, without a poly coating.

That’s what I was saying earlier but JB looked like he was in skates all night is why people are asking. Could just be we notice it more because we know the floor is different.

Yeah, could be. I'm a little bit south of Toronto and it's been warm-ish and very humid today. Could just be that.

Same arena where Smart slipped twice and injured his groin last preseason. No idea if the different court would have an effect, but at the time of that groin injury I think the consensus was because of the humidity from the ice underneath.
