I'm out on these courts. Go fuck yourself, nba. I hope they rest these guys through every tournament game left.

Player health be damned, those courts are too cool! They have to be used!

I hope the press conference includes both coaches asserting that they’ll never let their teams play on that fucking court again.

Is there a reason that floors aren't typically all paint and mostly wood? Would seem that there'd be a problem with the lane if that were the case... but can't say I've seen all that many fully painted floors in general before this tourney.

Stupid floors. But they make sense because there’s no other way, no invention ever that could possibly convey an IST game To the viewer. You have to have spectacularly colored floors that look awful on TV. There’s no alternative. None.

Yea I was going to ask because I haven’t heard about this, is there a reason to assume these floors are slippery? Or do they just look it

Not understanding the court hate (other than stupidity). Are the tournament courts somehow more slippery?
Not supposed to be but tonight looked like it was. They should all have the same clear coat according to what I heard earlier in the season

The surface of the court is supposed to be the same, but who knows. They had to have them manufactured by multiple different companies because of how late they decided to change the courts.

I wonder if new courts are just generally always more slick, or if maybe there are slight differences in manufacturing between companies that could make one court more slippery than another.

Haven't noticed it in other games..but tonite they were slipping all over the place... or at least Jaylen did several times.

Here
It looked like Jaylen slipping more than others. Could it have been a shoe problem?

Feels like the top layer of varnish should have to be the same product, but who knows if that's the case.. One thing I wonder about is how varnish over paint over wood is different then just over wood.

Also wonder if just visually how it affects the players.. when you're used to wood color vs. painted areas for your entire life ..and then you're playing on courts with totally different coloring.. seems like that should have some sort of effect even if it's subtle/mental..

This is the kind of win that great teams snag regularly. Toronto had everything going their way in the second half, but Boston hung in there to overcome frigid long distance shooting by Tatum to out execute the home team in crunch time.

The backcourt should be called The Stabilizers.

These stupid courts are a terrible idea, and not even in retrospect. It’s not like disco or mid nineties haircuts. They’re objectively a terrible decision in real time. Like those ridiculous turn forward the clock MLB unis from the 90s.
