Enough of this day of the game BS. Let's get this thread started now, let's get some posts in it, and get some life back in the forum.

I just signed up for DraftKings last night, solely for the intention of playing hockey and golf games. I have a feeling this is going to be a bad idea.

Two points that explain my consistent absence from this forum this year.

1. I don't have NESN and small children running about my house makes it challenging to sneak out the door to a bar. I have watched a total of 2 periods this season.

2. I am rewatching Archer on Netflix. I scoured everything that service offered and decided to just go back to Archer. So that's a thing.

The little bit I've seen of the Leafs this season tells me that Babcock is going to have an aneurysm on the bench.

Riemer is on fire for the Leafs according to my fantasy team. 2 goals or less in 7 of his last 8.

Alas, I too am in a Dummy Hoy-esque situation, minus the two children, so I have probably watched a similar amount of the B's. Which makes me sad and I don't like it.

Edit: I'm also approaching my 9 year anniversary here in two weeks. Christ. Imagine how much more productive I'd be had I never discovered this place.

I'll be in the house for this one. First Bruins game in Boston for me. It's clearly disappointing to not be able to admire the fine work of Kevan Miller.

Bruins called Talbot up today. Vatrano is out, though Claude seemed to indicate that Vatrano's injury isn't too bad. B's have started scrapping morning skates, so I'm not sure how the Krejci line shakes out. They could move Kemppainen to the left, or have Randell on the right. Not idea, but a temporary solution.

The Leafs are clearly worse than the Bruins. Bs have to turn this into 2 points

Not only that but the Leafs played to a shootout last night. If the B's can put a full 60 in they should win this game.

Of course, putting the full 60 in has been a problem this season.

Yeah but...putting in 60 NHL-calibre minutes has been a challenge for the Leafs all year, too!

Can we keep Marchand? Beautiful individual effort, totally indressed his man.

Love van Riemsdyk taking a run at Marchand, then turtling after the gloves came off to put his team on the power play. That's how you selflessly play sports.

Hahaha. Guys on NHL Network talking about Krug showing up to camp his second season with a 15% body fat.

Guy 1: Small and fat don't work.

Guy 2: (laughing) They had a guy here named Kessel, seemed to work for him.

I will never understand why the guy who breaks his stick doesn't just go to the bench and get a new one and come back. You're basically useless without one and the team should be able to survive 10 seconds without you.

I missed this, wasn't Krug in great shape this year?

2 U's, 2 K's, 2 Points, and 2 huge late goals. This is the Bruins team I want to see every night.

Here
The Maple Leafs broadcast claims that shot by Chara was 137.1 mph...

Does it measure when the puck hits the net or something? That would SHATTER the NHL record.
