I am not sure there was one. Probably a Tatum isoI’m not sure that was the play
that’s what I saw tooWhy not inbound to Jaylen? Looked like he came wide open in the corner.
agreed—it looked like the play was to get Tatum the ball though.Open 3 from KP is a great outcome for that possession.
Just short armed it.
Sky isn’t falling but even with the improvement in personnel I’m seeing the same stupid shit that caused them trouble last year. Offensive numbers were wildly propped up by games against the dregs of the league. They’ve looked like shit on that end against any team with a pulse.Team didnt play well all game and still had a chance to win at the end. Don’t think the sky is falling
That was so strange.Embiid was clearly on the line, saw he was, and moved off of it.
They had a very clear plan, articulated by others in this thread and I believe Scal even referenced it. The 76ers clearly have great rim protection - as they have had as long as Embiid has been there - so they attack from the perimeter. Shots didn't fall. You can make a mountain out of this loss or the approach but I think most 76ers opponents play this way. And Philly is good so it often fails. This team has some legitimate issues. Mazulla doesn’t seem to have much of an offensive plan out there. Tough to watch the lack of movement. You can run more action than ball screens. 0 off ball movement. Browns handle gets relentlessly attacked to the point he really can’t be trusted to do much but shoot and finish. Poor depth. These last two games have shown what happens when they play real defenses and it’s legitimately concerning.
His defense on Maxey on Philly's final possession was fantastic. On the other hand, Jaylen can be good sometimes.
I think it’s very rare any of these plays have 1 single “good outcome”, aside from maybe a 0.4 second lob at the basket situation.agreed—it looked like the play was to get Tatum the ball though.
Scal suggested misdirection—that’s possible and very well acted if so
And if that happens, nobody's bitching about Mazzulla or his assistants.I will await the advanced stats from this game but the C's had good looks tonight from what I saw. Philly played great defense and rotated well but there were plenty of wide open misses.
If the C's shoot league average from three tonight - they win the game. If they shoot their season average from deep its likely not even close.
We just don’t have great personnel for a free flowing offense - only a few guys really seem to have the vision to thrive out of structure.Other than white, all these guys have a lot of ball stopping in them. Just way too much one pass and make your iso move. These guys are all used to having the ball in their hands a lot more than they have this year, so it’s my hope as they learn to figure each other out more the ball movement increases as the trust increases. But so far the offense looks pretty ugly against any D that mucks up the first action. Pass the ball, have 2nd options, off ball movement, anything to help when the on ball pick and role or iso gets thwarted. They had a very clear plan, articulated by others in this thread and I believe Scal even referenced it. I find it interesting that people actually *want* it to be more structural. A loss where shots just didnt fall sucks but its understandable.

Mazzula just got into a back and forth about the number of 3's they took during his presser.I will await the advanced stats from this game but the C's had good looks tonight from what I saw. Philly played great defense and rotated well but there were plenty of wide open misses.

I almost always listen to opposing broadcasts of Celtics games and I noticed this too.Listening to the Sixers broadcast, I've never heard an opposing broadcast team so quickly and thoroughly bash a call that favored their own team. Ridiculous.
Well, that explains why Jaylen sucked tonight…It’s game 7, no need to panic
