I love what i've read about this kid- seems like the skill set modern defenseman need, and may have some elite upside. Looks a real solid pick, but what do i know?

I know what you know. But, I agree, of the three picks he seems like the best player. Hopefully a nice 3/4 defenseman in a couple years with #2 upside.

I like Zboril a lot.  It had seemed clear in recent weeks that he was their target at 14 the whole time.  I think there is a real good chance he becomes a very good NHL defenseman

Is his ceiling or floor Boychuk? I've seen both, and it's hard to tell as even rational Bruins fans are pretty pissed off tonight.

I don't think any 18 year old kid drafted outside the top 2-3 even has a floor that high.  I think the ceiling is a good bit higher, but I am one who believes Boychuk is overrated and no better than a solid 3 at most

Yeah, from what I read the ceiling is higher than Boychuk. Guy likes to hit, and has a lot of top end skill. Should be interesting to see how he develops, but this was a no brainier pick IMO.
