Just popping in to say these refs are entirely incompetent and the Heat have been playing rugby out there for awhile now.

What on earth is going on?

Fuck you Herro. Fuck you Bam. Fuck you Robinson. Fuck you Spoelstra. Fuck you Heat Culture. Fuck you, lazy, late arriving Miami fans. And of course, a special Fuck You to Pat Riley.

Take care of business in these back to backs against Brooklyn and head into the break 43-12.

Tatum really physically bossed the game on both ends despite not getting a whislte. His decion making was fantastic.

You know what? He had a lot of peak LeBron in him today.

I'm still stumped how they didn't call -any- of the handshacking down the stretch. If they had, Brown might not have had picked up that frustration tech.

If they are going to run a matchup attacking offense like this in the playoffs, I'd like to see them start the offense a bit sooner. Lots of times at the end there was like 8-10 seconds on the shot clock when they finally got to what they wanted, and then the heat would send the help and it didn't leave a ton of time to swing-swing to make shots. White had a few rushed 3 point attempts in the 4th that I remember.

That game was only tight because the Heat are allowed to play a style of D that hasn’t been allowed for decades.

Miami has no chance at stopping Porzingis. He is the difference maker against them this year.
Well, they have one chance: they can hack him every time down low, because the refs won't call it.

Unbelievable refball. One of the most lopsided, shittily officiated games I've seen all year.

I guess the positive is that we get experience keeping composure down the stretch, which is probably more valuable than winning the blowout it would have been with moderately competent officiating.

The Heat had 14 more true shot attempts because of offensive rebound and turnover differential.

Some were bad, but it's hard to blame him when the other team is allowed to play hockey out there.
On one rand Tatum drive, Herro was guarding him and literally had both hands on him as he tried to make a move. And that wasn’t even one of the most egregious ones

That’s how they’ve competed with teams, particularly us, for years. They do seem to get the benefit of a slow whistle.

I’ll just say this: If it’s clear the officials are swallowing their whistles, then Joe needs to be cognizant of who’s handling the ball. The entire rest of the team had 3 total turnovers in the same playing conditions.

The other players had the same people guarding them? Honest question.

Tatum has had 6-7 turnover games this year, and they don't take the ball out of his hands, not should they.

Not saying he should take the ball out of his hands forever, but I think there are situations where Joe should slow down the Jays when they get into these funks and let someone else set the offense up. To be fair, for your comparison, Tatum also has been far better with the ball in his hands than Jaylen over the course of his career, though Jaylen has closed the gap this year. Still, I’d give more rope to Jayson than Jaylen.

It’s less to me about who’s guarding them one on one, but approach. A double team is a double team, and bringing the ball up 1 on 3 is just that. It’s decision-making more than physical issues.
