Celtics have 7 turnovers and I think 5 of them are offensive foul calls.

If the Cs shoot like this, it's basically impossible to beat them unless the opponent goes Curry like supernova, from their entire roster. As soon as the Knicks shooting regressed to the mean, this turned into a laugher.

AL and PP with energy plays to push the lead to start the fourth was key. This has been a fun game, and the Celtics are a juggernaut

Just got home. Listened to most of the 2nd half in the car. That 3rd quarter was bananas. This Celtics team might be pretty good.

Exactly. Even with the Knicks starting the game hot from three, they couldn’t grab much of a lead. When Boston rains down threes, it’s basically over, especially when their defense ratchets up

I don’t mind the occasional 40+ game for Tatum. Knowing how much he will be on the floor for the playoffs, I think it’s OK to get him reps in these situations. Same reason the great Patriots teams played 60 full minutes.

Also, they have 2 games in the next 6 days.

When they move the ball and let the flow, flow it's a beautiful choreography that's about impossible to defend.
Basically, if any of the main ball handlers get a step on their man on the perimeter it’s already too late for the D.

Wilbon asking why this group hasn't won it yet.. that they've been deep in the playoffs together five times.. then doesn't mention at all that actually the team is pretty different from last year and the years before..

ESPN has to try to drum up some narrative that the Eastern side of the playoff bracket will be worth watching for the average fan.

The crew then went on to ask if the East will be tough enough to prepare the C's for the finals against the West survivor.. The other analyst on the panel also went on to ask if Tatum could outplay the best players on respective playoff teams.. when if you've been watching the Celtics at all.. you know that the Celts very much don't play that way.. of course Tatum has to be good, but he won't be the only reason they win or lose..

Mostly because the Jay's are so damn good at creating their own shots.
And because the Celtics shoot so many 3 pointers, their FG% is relatively unimpressive despite their scoring efficiency - no difference between an assist into a 3 and an assist into a 2, even if the former is 50% more valuable.

Take a couple of really good ISO scorers and combine it with the 12th best FG%, and you have the 17th best assists per 100.

That whole segment was annoying. Can Tatum
and the Celtics ever get by Jimmy Butler? Um….
Or get by Giannis? Um… or Embiid? Um and Um and Um.

Also, I don’t know if anybody heard but a few players were out for the Knicks.
