He was more productive against better competition.Deathofthebambino said:Exactly. Forget the injuries, and the misdemeanor battery arrest. Talk to me about when he was on the field vs. the other DT's when they were on the field. Did Louis Nix kill someone or fail a drug test that I didn't hear about, like Jernigan?

You are really all over the place. You just said that Patrick Chung was a bust because he was injury prone and not on the field. He's a bust because he sucks.Eck'sSneakyCheese said:Coming out of college he was considered talented. How is it a different argument?
Not really. A 4th to move up 8 spots here is pretty cheap. No wonder the Pats didn't trade down if that was the price.ThePrideofShiner said:Seahawks get Minnesota's 2nd and 4th rounders. Nice haul.

Yeah I feel there had to be no interest in Bridgewater in the low to mid 30s and/or the Pats had Easley head and shoulders above everyone else on their boardDeathofthebambino said:Red, I agree 100%. If he's healthy, there is absolutely no doubt that I love the pick. I just think the Pats need to be in a bit of a "Win now" mode over the next 2-3 years, and I think you take more of a guaranteed return in that respect.
I also don't know that he wouldn't have been available at 60 either. If there wasn't so much talent left, and as we just saw with Bridgewater, there were teams looking to trade up, I feel like they could have had Easley later than they picked him, if not at 60, but definitely somewhere in the mid 30's.
