@AdamSchefter: Rams RB Zac Stacy traded to Hets for pick 224, per source.

According to Leonard Williams, there are pictures of Brady around the jets facility. I suppose it's for motivation or something, but that seems a little "in their heads" to me.

I don't agree that this is bad. I'll tell you this story. When Wallid Ismail was training to for a grappling match against Royce Gracie, he had photocopied pictures of Royce around the gym. At certain points during training, he would eat the paper. When they squared off, Royce slept

You're making me like the cut of your jib & start to humanize the Jets fanbase. Don't like it.

I dunno. Brady comes back for an emotionally-charged Colts game and then the Jets get them the next week?

Could be a letdown by NE.

Or they steamroll the NYJ by 40.

The Colts are going to need a win to get back on track after that game with NE.  Tough timing for the Jetsies.

Revis is a piece of shit.  It's one thing not to support Tom.  He's on the Jets now and giving aid and comfort to the enemy is verboten.  But to affirmatively crap on a team that he went to war with and just won a Super Bowl with is a dick move.

Make no mistake, I wish the Pats found a way to keep him.  But that statement is too much.

Let's just say it how it is. Revis had to ride the coattails of Brady and Belichick to win a ring. Great player but he ain't ever going to lead his own team to a ring.

Well, no, he's a cornerback.

He's taking a page out of the Richard Sherman playbook. That's all.

Amen Theo. "revis is a piece of shit" was my reaction when he didn't re-sign with the Pats but I fully admit to that being just sour grapes. Now I stand by it. Fuck man. George IS gettin upset.

He's savvy as hell. He just won a super bowl with his new team's biggest rival and he's going to have them forgetting it ever happened before training camp.

where I was last at
So Revis gets picked and played for a SeaHawks TD that gives them a 10 point lead, then Brady puts together an epic 4th quarter,  and Revis throws him under the bus?

FUCK HIM

Here
His comments actually aren't so bad when read in totality. The problem is it got the Manish frame job.

That explains a lot. I used to watch Manginis press conferences and then I would see how Manish would cover what was said and I learned to ignore him. He is a clown.

What do you expect Revis to say now that he's on the Jets?  He talked shit about the Jets last season too.  He's playing to the crowd.
Hell, he talked shit about the Jets (F.O) every two years there the first time around. He is the ultimate mercenary.

What a fucking coward.

This guy puts money ahead of everything, he's got zero loyalty, less than zero ethics.

Anyone who thought he'd drink the kool aid, buy into the Patriot way and put winning ahead of himself and his bank account had zero clue of what makes this guy tick.

As soon as the Super Bowl ended, he was as good as gone.

I'd send him his ring postage due.

I'm actually disappointed that Revis takes the "team identity" as seriously as he apparently does. No true mercenary would give a crap about who he plays (or played) for

Or it's PR, and all he really cares about is the money.

Which is likelier?

What most annoys me is his assertion that the Pats had Spygate, now this (deflategate), and EVERYTHING ELSE they been busted for.  What EVERYTHING ELSE?? I hear this over and over and over and it pisses me off to no end, there is NOTHING ELSE!! The way people talk the Pats get busted every other game for doing illegal things and it's just not true but that it's been repeated so much it's just accepted now as fact, makes me SO angry.

It's the taping of practices, particularly the Rams Super Bowl walkthrough. It doesn't matter that the Herald had to retract the story--people just remember that it was initially reported, so it must be true. Hell, the Panthers GM implied the Pats must have taped their practice. How else could the Panthers have lost?

In entirely unrelated news, that GM was fired after years of roster mismanagement led to a team that couldn't sniff the playoffs for half a decade.

Taking the source with a grain (spoonful?) of salt, but Mehta tweets:

@MMehtaNYDN It was only one practice, but Geno Smith had his challenges today. #nyj

and right on cue, Bowles steps in:

@AroundTheNFL Todd Bowles says the job is Geno's to lose, but there will be a competition at training camp #Jets

This, of course, comes just a week after the new OC Chan Gailey naming Geno the starter (ahem, minus the "competition"): http://bleacherreport.com/articles/2471323-geno-smith-named-new-york-jets-starting-quarterback

“Right now, Geno’s the starter,” Gailey said, per Brian Costello of the New York Post.

If it's a competition, why would anyone be anointed as being in the pole position?  What benefit does that serve for anyone involved?  If anything, it puts more pressure on Geno in that he can screw up even before games actually count.  And if he doesn't get the job but is forced into action during the season, the QB is the guy who had the job and frittered it away.

Thankfully, we will not have to ask such questions as long as Bill is the HC of the NEP.

Bill: "We'll make the move that is in the best interests of the team, the whole team, and not any one player....."  and/or "I'm not going to get into labels or numbers at this time...we'll name a starter when we name a starter..."

Next to the clown show that never stops at 16W, I'll take monotone and unpleasant all day long.

This is so very, very Jetsian. Add to the lore:

@alexmarvez  23m23 minutes ago .@MarkdominikESPN anecdote: @nyjets had William Gholston off '13 draft board amid concerns they'd get criticized 4 drafting another Gholston
