I don't see one for this year, so figured I'd start one.
Here are my picks. I'm sure my Yankees pick won't go over well.
NY over Houston. I don't think Keuchel can bring it on 3 days rest but hope I'm wrong.
Cubs over Pitts. Cole's a stud, but Arrieta's studlier.
NY over KC. I just don't see the Royals starting pitching shutting down either AL East lineup they'd have to beat. Cueto has looked mediocre.
Toronto over Texas and not even close. Hamels is the weakest #1 in the playoffs this year (maybe Pineda). There isn't even cold weather to slow down the Jays bats.
Yankees over Toronto - David Price doesn't have a great history against the Yankees, and the pen is also a big advantage for the Yankees. It will be a bludgeon fest but I think the Yanks just eke it out.
Cubs over Cards - That one two punch is better than what the Cardinals have right now. Wacha has looked tired down the stretch and Arrieta could pull a Madbaumer this year.
Dodgers over Mets - Probably the best match up in the NL, but I can see it going either way. The Mets don't see Greinke or Kershaw enough where they will have a clue against either, and the Dodgers can probably scrape together runs more easily. The Mets infield defense is horrendous too.
Dodgers over the Cubs - both teams have weak-ish bullpens but the Dodgers have better offense and starter depth.
Dodgers over the Yankees and not close.
