refs are in the tank if this oob call goes the cavs way

edit: And it doesn't yet Lebron complains anyway when it was super obvious that it was off him on replay

Crowder only played 20 minutes--5 points, 1 rebound, 1 assist. Two games ago he went scoreless, and has 5 total boards in last 3 games.

Ballgame. Suck it Cavs. Hurting your own draft choice.

EDIT: Wait, did Cavs walk off floor before final few seconds ticked off?

Cavs are lucky the east is so bad, if Thomas doesn't come back close to what he was last year this roster is much worse than last year.

Him potentially regressing to his mean of not actually being a 40% 3pt shooter could be one factor. Whole new system could be another. I'm sure he'll be fine once they figure out how to use him.

Maybe this should be in the 76ers thread but they lose to HOU despite being up 8 with 1:45 to go and having the ball. Gordan with a corner-ish 3 to win it with time expiring. Despite Embiid with 21 points on 8-13 shooting, final 4 possessions for PHI went Simmons TO, Reddick missed 3 with shot clock expiring, another Reddick missed 3 with shot clock expiring, and a Bayless layup that was blocked and led to a shot clock violation. That plus a foul by Reddixk on a Harden driving layup is not the way to execute down the stretch.

Best team in the NBA right now looks like ... the San Antonio Spurs. Methodically dismantling everyone, without Kawhi. Rudy Gay already seems like a perfect fit there, Aldridge is looking like his old all-star self, and Manu is ageless.

For the ??th time, rumors of their demise appear greatly exaggerated. Would anybody really feel confident taking d'Antoni's Rockets over Pop's Spurs this year in a playoff series?

He's hitting 37.5% of his threes. He's just not doing, well, anything else.

Just watched the Spurs vs Miami. Very impressive road win by San Antonio. Gay looks like a player in Pop's system, not just a chucker.

the simmons to was bad
the first redick (1d) shot was bad, the second was a beautiful clean look, big miss from a stud
the last was brutal. three shooters just stood around. no one moved. brutal

Think there's a good chance we'll find out that there's a Brad Factor involved in deploying guys like Jae and IT optimally. (Yes, I know that Amir was an RPM god in Toronto too).

Wow this first quarter has been - uh - well shitty. Wizards can’t hit anything and Lakers look a random collection of talent

Ingram looks quite meh for a #2 pick with a year behind him. I think Jaylen would be drafted ahead of him at this point.

Ball has basically done nothing and all ESPN announcers are talking about is what has impressed them about Ball.

Scoreless at the half.
Are not his father, and being a Laker enough to make you hate the guy? Now out the media going full Jeter on him.
It's not just that he's scoreless; he only has 2 attempts, and shows little sign of being able to create his own shot against NBA defenders.

Going to start calling Steven's the Fairy Godmother cause the clock strikes midnight fast for guys that leave his squad.

I'm not sure what's more aggravating, the Wizards missing their free throws or Marc Jackson referring to the basket as "the cup."

A Lost Time
Why do the lakers have a late first round rookie take crunch time shots when he's shooting 16% from 3?

Review is the biggest travesty in the NBA until they are allowed to call fouls based on it instead of giving the ball to the wrong team after a guy gets whacked.

Wall lost the ball because Randle hit his elbow. Before review this hit would be ignored but the ball would correctly stay with Washington. Now review allows them to make two incorrect calls in one.

And again, Brooks sucks.

Brooks is terrible. No plays in overtime other than Wall or Beal driving to the hoop, and they can't even foul when they need too.

Scotty Brooks has been a head coach for how long and he somehow didn't drill it into his teams heads that you need to foul IMMEDIATELY

The Lakers are fun
They suck, but I said after the Phoenix game that most of their games will be highly watchable (maybe on mute) because they run all day and are sloppy as hell and play a style conducive to 260 point games.

Washington are still posers and have very much peaked with no way to add more talent to the roster without moving Beal. Couldn’t happen to a more annoying group of guys.

The weirdest thing to me about the Wizards is that anyone could have a question, and think that Scotty Brooks was the answer.

I don't think he is a great tactician, but the players seem to really like him and he's gotten a team to the finals and the Bullets would have beaten the Cs last year if not for Kelly magic.
