Good sign BB is staying for a bitPats get a 2019 2nd and a 4th this year
I heard it was traded for a 2023 4th rounder and the rights to every UDFA this yearSo the Pats still have the 2nd to last pick in this round, correct (it appears that way on NFL network)?
They essentially traded out of the second round.I dont understand this trade at all. 2019 2 and a 5? that seems shitty.
Unless Josh is driving the bus today.Good sign BB is staying for a bit
I think that's a good bet. That trade is basically a bet that the Bears stink next year
Wait till the next pick they pull the trigger on is a QBThey must just see the defensive options on the board right now as fungible. Rarely does it make sense to take a guy just to grab a body
I really don’t think it’s any more complex than “do we need to pick NOW or can we trade down and build more draft capital?”Or maybe two second round picks next year gives us the capital to trade up into round one for Brady’s successor.
They had 4 in the first 2 this year and it didnt amount to anything.Or maybe two second round picks next year gives us the capital to trade up into round one for Brady’s successor.
Yep and the second rounder next year is probably going to be better than #43 that they had this year. So, they basically delayed the second rounder from this year to next in exchange for two fourths now.
Prom nightI would like to see some defensive players too, but let's not forget, the Pats have basically picked up 3 starting defensive players already this offseason in Hightower, Clayborn and Shelton. They'll fill the holes one way or another.
Wynn and Michel probably cost them around $4 million in cap space.Honest question: How much do you think taking two first-rounders plays financially into dropping back?
I had to text this exact thing to my grandfather who is apoplectic (year after year).I would like to see some defensive players too, but let's not forget, the Pats have basically picked up 3 starting defensive players already this offseason in Hightower, Clayborn and Shelton. They'll fill the holes one way or another.
And Nunez doing Nunez things, grounds into a double play.Xander with a single to lead off the fifth.
And JMac.I would like to see some defensive players too, but let's not forget, the Pats have basically picked up 3 starting defensive players already this offseason in Hightower, Clayborn and Shelton. They'll fill the holes one way or another.
You know that’s not a bad bet...That trade is basically a bet that the Bears stink next year
I think Bill just didn’t want to be bored in the fourth round.Yep and the second rounder next year is probably going to be better than #43 that they had this year.
Probably a smart trade but it sure is frustrating when you just want them to pick a player now. Just speaking as a fan wanting to see good players added to my favorite team tonight.
