My point was they previously had two former number one picks who were supposedly athletic wings with not a lot of BBIQ. Would that dissuade them from collecting another one? Apparently not.

The scouting report on him is that he is basically Lonzo, except that unlike Lonzo he is a lackadaisical defender and unlike Lonzo, is a shoot-first player. Obviously some draft experts are really high on him, but I think that it's a really risky pick.

I have no idea about these players but philosophically I would think the opposite. The lack of info should lead to more misses which should help the team with volume.

Yeah I'm actually fairly optimistic about the guys available in our draft range. Hampton/Nesmith/Bey at 14, and then Bane/Tillman/Flynn/Nnaji later. But negativity is the currency of the internet.

Who ever told you that Anthony Bennett was an athletic wing? Part of the reason everyone reacted in shock at his going #1 was that he was an undersized 4 who lacked the athleticism to compensate. And he was strictly salary filler. If he didn’t need to be in the deal to make the numbers work the Cavs would have released him after his second season.
