So which plane was he on? The NFL is so stupid....
So only the coaching staff mainly so great, but unless the entire secondary was on there doesn't matter...not like they are in close contact throughout the game or anything.PFT: “Per source, Stephon Gilmore was one of the players in close contact with Cam Newton, and Gilmore was on the second plane with roughly 20 people.”
Great. Just great.
The date of the Super Bowl is one of the least important things for the league to be worrying about right now. Schedule every team to play every other week and let the season finish in April. They could play the super bowl on St.Patricks day if they wanted to. Maybe time for a league wide pause, quarantine anybody positive/high risk, re-think all the protocols, then resume in a couple weeks............. which of course their arrogant , piggish greed will never allow.
The judges were looking for "Mahomes was down by COVID."If Mahomes gets it there's no chance they make KC play.
But...what greed? How much is it costing the league to shut it down for 2 weeks? Let the infected players get healthy, make sure the league is healthy, add in a bumper week or two going forward and...that's it.They could play the super bowl on St.Patricks day if they wanted to. May have gone with "In the gasp".The judges were looking for "Mahomes was down by COVID."
That game should have been moved to end of year.
Fair enough. Maybe it’s just arrogance. But something is driving them to continue to ignore the obvious growing crises they have. Do they run into any issues with their broadcast partners by having wide scale postponements and rescheduling?But...what greed? How much is it costing the league to shut it down for 2 weeks? An additional 4 weeks of season time. So what? Wheres the crazy financial losses coming from if they do this?
Because of course. Honestly the people who run this league are fucking brain dead.
Mahomes was ruled down by contactSo, it turnss out that hopping on planes and flying before the incubation period was over may not have been such a great idea. Who knew?

Players need to walk out. It has come to that.
Come on man: https://sonsofsamhorn.net/index.php?threads/2020-pats-gilmore-tests-positive-for-c-19.31694/#post-4087939Mahomes was ruled down by contact
Too soon?
Not to beat a dead horse, but...
Also, Klis is bit of a moron.I wouldn't put much stock in that game still being on tweet. Once more positives come in they'll have to shut it down.
The NFLPA will be stepping up soon. Regardless how much they actually care for player safety (and i believe they do care), this is a great leverage point for them over the league.Players need to walk out. It has come to that.
I agree but the initial response is precisely the issue. They want to plow ahead rather than taking a wait and see approach. When would it even be safe for the Pats to open their facility and practice?I wouldn't put much stock in that game still being on tweet. Once more positives come in they'll have to shut it down.
Power and money. No need to look any further.But...what greed? How much is it costing the league to shut it down for 2 weeks? Let the infected players get healthy, make sure the league is healthy, add in a bumper week or two going forward and...that's it.

If Mahomes actually gets sick, sure, the season is over. But if he just tests positive and is asymptomatic (like just about every other NFL case), it will be interesting to see how that gets handled.Again, guys, the league is extremely sensitive to pressure from other owners to the mere appearance of cutting the Patriots any sort of break. So what if the entire team gets infected? Goodell will always stick it to the Pats because that's what his corporate masters want.
They'll push hard to play the Denver game. You'll see. They'd be happy to see a Pats player get hospitalized or worse. Gilmore is the DPOY and yet they don't care that he's sick. But if Mahomes gets sick they'll cancel everything.
Why do we think the NFLPA will step out of these positive tests when the MLB players didn't?The NFLPA will be stepping up soon. Regardless how much they actually care for player safety (and i believe they do care), this is a great leverage point for them over the league.
If anything I think this adds money to the NFL's pockets. Shut down individual teams for positives not the league, you end up with 20-21 weeks of NFL football before the playoffs.But...what greed?
