He just forgot to teach them to play football (plus he took them top 10).Hell, that's how the Raiders got where they are.
Um...
Stout is more consistent and better at placing the ball. Not shocked he was the first punter off the board.Ravens took a P and it wasn't Araiza.
Been wondering if they’ll pop a QB, I don’t love Howell. But then again who knows what they make of Carson Strong. If he's still there, would the Patriots dare take Howell as a Stidham replacement and eventual backup to Jones?
Don't know about Perkins but we can read nothing into McGrone being redshirted. They knew that was going to be the case headed into the draft. They got him in the 5th, but he was projected to be a much higher pick (absent his injury).Does this draft speak to BB's confidence in McGrone and Perkins?
I like Howell. Kinda. If he's still there, would the Patriots dare take Howell as a Stidham replacement and eventual backup to Jones?
No LT in this draft so why bother, I guessLinebackers are so 2000 & late.
I like Howell and it would be a good pick, but I think the kid from Brown could be the oneIf he's still there, would the Patriots dare take Howell as a Stidham replacement and eventual backup to Jones?
In the transition away from McDaniels, is there greater value in keeping Hoyer in the room versus looking for the down the road backup? Just a thought...If he's still there, would the Patriots dare take Howell as a Stidham replacement and eventual backup to Jones?
Hoyer's going to be on the coaching staff sooner rather than laterIn the transition away from McDaniels, is there greater value in keeping Hoyer in the room versus looking for the down the road backup? Just a thought...
Depends how solid a citizen he is; wouldn’t want to mess with Mac.I like Howell. Kinda.
I feel like the Pats may start trading back into 2023 more and more if anyone will bite...stronger draft next year
I agree if he wants it, but there are times that as a player he can be working out and interacting with the other QBs when a coach is not allowed to. Maybe less so now that Covid rules would be expected to be less impactful.Hoyer's going to be on the coaching staff sooner rather than later
I think that next year will be the year we see more payoff? Maybe I am wrong but thought that there were still lots of players getting an extra year.??? I thought because of COVID delays, this year's draft was very deep.
Christian Harris was drafted. Christopher Allen (DE) is still available. Damone Clark at 137? Dominique Robinson?Domann (strong special teams), Christopher Harris (Bama) or Beavers (more prototypical) all available for LB.
This is why I don't get why these guys didn't get more snaps last year. You're going to give a lot of play time to a lot of young players simultaneously when the opportunity was there to get at least some of them more acclimated to a bigger role. There's an interesting group of players on the NE defense that might be poised to make an impact next year: McGrone, Jennings, Uche, and Perkins. It would be amazing if even two of them popped.
That said...I'd really love a good DL and LB in this draft please.
Falcons drafted Anderson in the 2nd round.Combine 40 fastest remaining:
DB: Kalon Barnes, Baylor
TE: Chigoziem Ogwonkwo, Maryland
OL: Dare Rosenthal, Kentucky
Edge: Amare Barno, Va. Tech
LB: Troy Anderson, Montana St.
P: Matt Araiza, San Diego St.

They’ve all been head scratchers in a way or anotherZappe? First true head scratcher for me.
I mean, are we witnessing Bill decide that the LB position is antiquated and go all nickel/dime packages?Wowowowowow
still no LB
Fastest punterBB just picking names out of a hat at this point.
The Punt God is one of the fastest players, too? But I imagine he won't have to run down & tackle return men if he's kicking the ball 70 yards away.
