Meh, I think the Cs will be fired up, fresh, and healthy in the 1st round, so that's the best time to hit a quality opponent. In some ways you'd rather face the Sixers or Miami then than in round 2/3.
I'd rather play Miami early (before they can work up any momentum) and Philly late (I'll believe Embiid can play well outside of round 1 when I see it).

Knicks/Sixers 2/7 matchup would be ideal here. Think the Pacers probably beat the Bucks, too, if that’s the matchup.

From a neutral fan standpoint, Celtics/Heat, Knicks/Sixers and Bucks/Pacers would be a incredible set of 1st round matchups in the east (Cavs/Magic, who gives a shit).

Yeah, I want the Heat. Just like I wanted the Nets in the first round two years ago. Time to exorcise that demon.

If you're the Knicks, do you really want to finish second and face (in all likelihood) Philly? Seems like a punishment for overtaking the Bucks.

Let the Sixers crush Doc in the first round.

They should probably want to lose here, yeah. Bucks will likely lose first round anyway, so homecourt irrelevant.

This is assuming Miami and Philly win their play-in games which while likely is not a sure thing.
Well, one of them wins and avoids the Cs until the finals.

I know we're fixated on worst case, but the team that loses that could easily be upset by Chicago or Atlanta.

I mean, I think a 2nd round opponent of Cleveland or Orlando is pretty ideal.
Solid username, and solid point by you. If we only have to play one of the Bucks and Knicks, rather than both, it's an "easy path". I won't ask for much more than that (ok, maybe just avoiding Miami, for the injury risk alone).

He's not as good at protecting the rim as White or as capable of guarding up as Holiday, but among guards there is no greater ballhawk than Caruso. God damn.

Yeah. This is exactly the thing. Take out the trash in the first round and then take care of business in the second round and then see who has managed to crawl into the ECF. and ruin their hopes and dreams This is our spring schedule.
