I've been doing research on the following positions: OL (namely T), WR, TE, CB, LB, & S.
For the OL draft class, there are names that at this very moment in time, seem like options in Round 2.
Is there a chance that O'Cyrus Torrence could be a pick? Now, I really don't want that to be a Round 1.14 pick and if they did draft him, much prefer a trade down. But I am wondering if the idea of Torrence would be to slot him at RG, & move Onwenu again to either T spot.
I am trying to recall Onwenu's performance at either T position, and went to PFR to have a look at snap counts per position, but he latest season just has him listed as a "OL".
I really would just love an overhaul on the line & my dream would be: Mauch/Strange/Andrews/Onwenu/Darnell Wright or Dawand Jones.
I feel Brian Branch would help the safety outlook. There's some good corners too (already covered upthread), but maybe some available in Round 2? I feel the dropoff between Branch at S, & a couple of WRs are high, & feel it's probably best to go after 1 of them & then go OL in Round 2-beyond.
I'm not sure I'm sold on the WRs like some here, & wonder if there's a premiere player who can line up outside and not in the slot available for trade.
Lastly, at LB, I like Noah Sewell, but not sure when he's expected to go. I like Nolan Smith too, but we'd have to grab him 1.14 or trade up, I feel.
