It’s rumored that he is going to sign for slot (Teel that is).

Have you guys never heard "hitterish"? That's something people say. Who knows what it means — at least, more specifically than "good at hitting."

Hitterish
In baseball, the term hitterish refers to the ability of the player or the batter to see a bat at a pitch well. Since the player can see pitches clearly, his or her timing is spot on. When the player has this kind of skill, he or she has a good chance of hitting the ball correctly.
Advantage of Hitterish
A baseball team with a hitterish teammate is a bonus. It gives the team an edge to use that skill to their advantage. So, even if the player is not a strong batter, but he or she has the ability to see pitches well, he or she can make a good hit. This will give the runners a chance to take a big lead off towards the next base.
It is more advantageous to the team if the player is a strong batter while at the same time has the ability to see a bat at a pitch well. If he or she is the cleanup hitter, he might even make a grand slam. All he or she has to do is to hit the ball hard, giving all the runners including himself to make four runs.
Do all Players have Hitterish?
Hitterish is the physical or mental ability of the player to see pitches well. Hence, not all players have this kind of ability. Having this skill takes a lot of practice, observation, and the ability to hit the ball spot on. There are players that are strong batters, but the ability to hit the ball spot on is limited. In fact, even if the batter is one of the strongest hitters in the team, if he or she cannot hit the ball, he or she can even get struck out.
How to Defend your Team against Hitterish?
If your team is on the field and your opponent has a team member that is hitterish, then you need to improve your field strategy. Remember, these are players that can always see a pitch well, thus making his timing spot on. He or she always hits the ball. Hence, you need to ensure that when this player is next, your field players or teammates must be on their toes and have quick reflexes to catch the ball or throw the ball towards the first baseman.

I was mostly joking. Badler is from BA & pretty knowledgeable. & he doesn't comment on that high of a % of picks today which is why I posted it.

I'm not sure how he is a steal, if BA had him at #68 and we picked him at 68 (BP had him at 72, MLB.com at 77)...
Thread title is wrong, we grabbed him at 83. Not a major steal or anything like that but definitely more so than at 68.
