for others -- you can watch the live stream of ESPN on twitter. (why you can't watch it on espn is beyond me -- also I pay for espn+ so why it's not there either is beyond me)

Of all the things that I have watched, this is indeed one of them.

Jesus, I'm so glad they weren't doing this "Draft in the SB Winner City" thing when the Pats won theirs.

I'd want to become a fan of another team.

Although, I can't imagine Brady going up there. Gronk and Edelman though...

I’m past complaining about how awful it is, I expect it to be as bad as can be. I did just pull up some YouTube clips from the early 90s to show my son how much better it used to be.

Sad news for Mike Greenberg...the 2nd round isn't tonight.

"And with the second pick... I'd like to introduce Chiefs legends Elvis Grbac and Mike Cloud!"

Who the fuck does the NFL think any of this shit appeals to?

Is there some segment of non-football diehards that are going "Hey, they might have some celebrities that nobody wants to see on the NFL draft. I don't know the players, most of the teams or have a fucking clue what's going on, but let me tune in to watch a flyover and a national anthem?"

If someone is going to watch the Draft, they're going to watch the draft. You can't make it more appealing to non draft heads, but you can certainly make it less appealing.

Do the Panthers really need 57 days... and a full 10 minutes... to make their pick?

Did he really think it was?
When they were talking about the Panthers/Bears trade I'm pretty sure he said something like "& the Bears get a 2nd round pick we'll be seeing later tonight". I don't think he actually expects it to happen tonight.

This coverage is painful already, though.

Greenberg was the deciding factor when I settled on NFLN

If it takes this long for the 1st pick to get to the podium after the pick is in, we're going to be like 20 picks behind later in the draft.

At least we have a mirror cam to watch them try on their undersized hats, that makes tonight worth it.

If they started the clock now for #2 this would be fine. Otherwise I’m not gonna make it to 14.

edit - oh, looks like they did

All true, although I'm happy to see KC's genuinely great but basically empty train station get used for something.
