Reiss speculating he couldn't pass a physical and his contract was structured accordingly due to concerns (James Robinson, that is).
To be fair, I doubt Reiss could pass the physical, either. (No offense meant towards Mike)Reiss speculating he couldn't pass a physical and his contract was structured accordingly due to concerns (James Robinson, that is).
How many days was his visit in Tennessee? I wonder if a two day visit represents any kind of (Even the vaguest) tea leaves.Reports today say it will be a 2 day visit.

McSorley and Zappe look a LOT different than last year
Its DeAndre twitter account and the post says "La Familia", so I don't think body language is the necessary indicator.Bring the body language doctors in: What does it mean that Hopkins is leaning away from Judon? Lack of deodorant? Still mulling his future? Not a fan of having his personal space invaded?
Yep. I don’t think Hopkins is prime Hopkins but the dude is still really good. He would represent a significant upgrade in the receiving corps. Its DeAndre twitter account and the post says "La Familia", so I don't think body language is the necessary indicator.
Goddammit, bring me Hopkins. If you want to see if Mac is the QB of the future, give him the talent NOW to figure it out.
Don’t let him get back into that Hertz rental car, Bill!

Bill took him to the Ground Round. Why did they not make the push when he was still in the building?
Seems like they could have easily tricked him into signing. They could have, for example, prepared a contract and thrust its last page in front of him as he was leaving the building and said, "Everyone must sign out before they leave". He, not paying much attention, would then sign and they would then stick the signed last page to the rest of the contract and say, "It's official -- Welcome to NE!"Why did they not make the push when he was still in the building?
Are there a lot of off season activities at this point? Serious Q. Thought once OTAs were over there wasn't much till then anywayI feel like Hopkins doesn't want to commit to off-season activities and will probably wait until training camp has started to sign somewhere.
Tomorrow is the last day, right? Also, couldn't Bill just say sign today, see you day 1 or whatever in camp?I feel like Hopkins doesn't want to commit to off-season activities and will probably wait until training camp has started to sign somewhere.
He did that and more for Brian Waters.Tomorrow is the last day, right? Also, couldn't Bill just say sign today, see you day 1 or whatever in camp?
I’m kind of the opposite. To me it feels like if he leaves and that two sides “take time to assess” that likely means no deal gets done. Not going to lie - getting my hopes up quite a bit here.

It's amazing, isn't it? The number of times we think a player like this is coming to one of the local teams, only to be disappointed in the end?Not going to lie - getting my hopes up quite a bit here.
I usually am pessimistic about this kind of stuff but I’ve had a gut feeling it happens for several days now. But I’m sure my Charlie Brown football moment is coming. It's amazing, isn't it? Pay What You Weigh is a lot easier with receivers.Bill took him to the Ground Round.
Thank God.Don’t worry. He’ll be back.
Pretty much all speculation at this point but I'm guessing that the Pats and Titans offered him solid deals. If he doesn't sign with either soon, he might be waiting for a better team to free up cap space. He probably knows that one or both teams will still be there later in the summer, if needed.Albert Breer on 98.5 said he heard Hopkins was communicating with Tennessee while on his Patriots visit. So I wouldn’t think this is a lock for the Patriots. He thinks if he doesn’t sign today w the Pats that it’s more likely he opens this all up again to other teams.
I think that's the contract he'd sign in KC, not with the Patriots. My guess is people are going to be surprised at the totals, he likely won't come cheap even if there aren't many teams in the fold. The structure for a deal would be pretty easy, right? Signing bonus, guaranteed, with vet minimum and incentives? With Hopkins missing time last year, the incentives would be NLTBE and the bill for those incentives wouldn't hit until next year. You can have pretty low thresholds for incentives for receptions, yards, and TDs along with snaps/games played.
I could also see a Revis-revisited deal. The structure for a deal would be pretty easy, right? Signing bonus, guaranteed, with vet minimum and incentives? Wrap him up and put a bow on him. BB started his negotiations long ago.I usually am pessimistic about this kind of stuff but I’ve had a gut feeling it happens for several days now. But I’m sure my Charlie Brown football moment is coming.
