Good grief Europe is just hitting everything. They're probably going to win this thing in a blowout.

Yeah, if you are losing to eagles not much you can do. The JT/Spieth tie was tough - that really should have been a win but Spieth no-showed the back.

Holy crow what a beatdown today. Europe did everything right. Well, the US needs to go at least 5-3 tomorrow and then hope to play great in singles.

As in almost every Ryder cup in Europe since 1995, all the clutch shots are coming from the Europeans. Every time the US had a ten/fifteen/twenty footer that would be a huge boost, they miss.

Some may not agree, but today was a chipping and putting contest, because the US gained no advantage tee to green.

Can’t lose 3 matches on 18. Great putts by Euros but total choke job by Homa and Clark.

But at least we have Sam Burns to save us tomorrow.

I know, what a crazy idea to put a team together of guys who like to play with each other. Because all the years of picking the 12 best guys worked great! Those weeks usually concluded with an ass kicking and players throwing punches at each other.

I don't know what it is. They'll probably show up to Bethpage with 8 of the same playsers and win 21-7. The past 15 years the home field advantage has been dramatic.

You know that’s not what I’m saying. On the margins yes pick people based on chemistry. You wanted Cam Young on this team despite the fact he hasn’t done anything since April.

It’s not about “guys who like each other”. Not sure if anyone listened to the interview with KB but he blamed himself. He didn’t blast anyone. He said it was always hard for him to fit in being a St. John’s guy and and blamed himself for not doing more to connect with these guys and instead focusing on being an individual competitor.

They won at Whistling because they liked each other? They won because they set the course up perfectly and had the best players (including 2 who are now playing on LIV).

Also I think in the world of advanced stats we are learning that having the home advantage and the ability to set up the course is a significant advantage that may some day be reviewed.

I'm almost ready for a neutral party to set up the golf courses.

Tomorrow morning:

Match 1: JT/Spieth vs. McIlroy/Fleetwood
Match 2: Scheffler/Koepka vs. Hovland/Aberg
Match 3: Harman/Homa vs. Lowry/Straka
Match 4: Cantlay/Schauffele vs. Rahm/Hatton

So no changes for the US except for Brooks in for Burns. Euro's run it back but flip the Rahm and Rory pairings in the order.

Rory, Rahm, Hovland and Hatton off for a 3rd straight session. Curious if they all go 4.

I was thinking about that this morning. Although I have to say I kind of like the thought of forcing players to hit middle irons and not make it a short game contest.
As do I but the home/road split is getting crazy. There hasn't been a Ryder Cup within 5 points since Medinah in 2013, and that took a huge Sunday comeback. Celtic Manor was kind of close before that but it was a weird one with weather delays and middle of the tournament format change.

The US is going to win 21-7 at Bethpage.
