Casas was funOMG dude, it's spring training, let it be fun.
Harris was boring
but partly it’s that I’m a Red Sox and not a Braves fan

Yeah, I don't get that attitude. I love the interviews, at least during spring training. I could care less about listening to Karl Ravech call balls and strikes.OMG dude, it's spring training, let it be fun.
I'm with you. ST is the time to get all the interview silliness and whatnot done and out of the system. Catch players while they're still in a more relaxed mindset, have a bit of fun. Much less of a fun of this stuff during the regular season (although even then it has its place), but let 'er rip in these early days. Helps add a little flavor and context for the regular season, too.I know I am in the minority, but I kind of love these interviews during spring training.
Great at bat for Abreu.
I don't disagree too much, but the stuff about Harris II's golf game was really boring. Also, I don't like them in-season, b/c I want my guys concentrating on the play on the field.I'm with you. Well, yeah, that's why they don't do them in season.I don't disagree too much, but the stuff about Harris II's golf game was really boring. Also, I don't like them in-season, b/c I want my guys concentrating on the play on the field.
If by "they" you include ESPN, I think you are wrong.they don't do them in season
I very well could be, this is the first time I have had ESPN in years. If by "they" you include ESPN, I think you are wrong.
What we've got here is a failure to communicate!Interviewing the President of baseball operations in the booth is fine.
The Harris interview was awful on every level.
"How's your golf game?"
"Sorry, I can't hear you."
"HOW IS YOUR GOLF GAME?"
"Oh pretty good, I like to get out there."
"How do you get along with the fans in the outfield?"
"Sorry I can't hear anything you are saying."
"HOW DO YOU GET ALONG WITH THE FANS IN THE OUTFIELD"?
"Nope, still can't hear you."
"THE FANS! IN THE OUTFIELD! HOW DO YOU GET ALONG WITH THEM?"
"Fine. Inning's over."
As for the interviews in general, the people desperate enough for baseball to watch a spring training game mostly just want to know who is playing. Who is pitching? Who is batting? (ESPN at least keeps both names up there onscreen every time. NESN doesn't.) Who just came into the game on defense? Who is that player who just made a great catch?
Tell us that accurately every time and then you can fill the rest of the time with whatever blather you want.
I, too, hate it when Red Sox pitchers let up singles to two of the best hitters in the league.Houck is possibly stinking up the joint. Can't tell. Who is at third base? Is defense messing up the pitching again?
Yes and yes.5 years for $55 to $60 million for Bello…. Isn’t that a Bargain? Seems like a hell of a deal
the print is too little for me to read without binoculars on my tiny tv. who were the two best hitters?I, too, hate it when Red Sox pitchers let up singles to two of the best hitters in the league.

edit: Matt Olson and austin riley?
I’m not a gambler, but I’d imagine you could get pretty good odds on him for ROY.Holy shit. Rafaela might legit turn himself into a Rookie of the Year contender.
