Will and Sweeet Lou talking wearing a cup at all times on the field. They are in mid season form
I have done a 180 on Loumer. He's really flushed all the corrosive, hot-take, talk-radio kool-aid from his veins, and emerged as a local guy who likes baseball and talking about baseball.

I agree, he has been really solid this year and is probably our best in the former player announcer role.

Seems like the Sox have played a lot of spring games against teams that are projected to be pretty good this year. Going by an estimate of the Vegas odds:
https://www.thelines.com/odds/mlb/win-totals/
My back of the envelope eyeballing has them playing 24 games so far against teams projected to win 85 or more games this year, and 10 games against other teams.

Spring training records are of course meaningless but their record against the 85+ win teams so far is 15-7-2.
Doesn't mean anything but it beats going 7-15-2 against them.

Is Casas dinged up a bit? I haven't seen anything (or I missed it) but I haven't seen him in the lineup the last couple days.

Oh don’t get me wrong, I think Lou has greatly improved and is a lot of fun to listen to and also informative during the game as well as providing non-weei takes on the team. It feels like he could grow into someone at the level of Remy for his humor and camaraderie with the fans.
Also, while Will Fleming still has his bad days, (usually when paired with Joe C,) he has improved to “somewhat tolerable” for me especially when not playing team GM or harping on players that aren’t performing well at the moment.

I'm going home
Valdez nearly rook Dunning's head off with a comebacker. Got his glove up just in time and knocked it down and threw him out. 2 lazy popups make it a quick inning.

I know it's Dunning and all, but having 8 Red Sox batters bat in the first two innings, and none of them striking out, makes me kind of giddy.

Damn. Langford is going to be really, really good for a long, long time.

You shouldn't be allowed to draft a guy like that the same year you win the World Series. It's unfair.

That's the thing about the MLB Draft. There are so many superstars that are drafted late.

O'Neill is giving me McMurray from Letterkenny vibes in this interview.

Miami (oh, Miami!)
I was little surprised to see anyone who might be pitching out of the pen in Game 1 or 2 in this game. But Campbell has been used sparingly this spring and in regular intervals.

I like the movement on his stuff.

And now Weissert. I don't know that I agree with the bullpen usage in this game.

I dont think it that big an issue. Game 1 is 2 1/2 days away. That seems far enough away that its the typical and unanswerable rust vs rest.
