That was a soft foul given how rest of game has been called, but I'll take it.

Jaylen has been playing so much stronger the last monht or two---it's awesome to see

Bol Bol's defensive instincts would be below-average for the posters in this thread. It's really amazing to see in an NBA player

Tillman/Nurkic matchup not going well.
Centers should have to leave the lane once in a while on offense.. they could even have a rule or something..like a maximum of three seconds. That way Nurkic would have to leave the lane at least once every possession.

I mean.. what does Nurkic have to do to get called for a foul? He was never straight up the entire time he's fouling Horford.

I mean, he crashed into White in the air---there's really only a question of whether that's flagrant (i don't think it is).

There is no evidence Phoenix can be called for a foul in the paint tonight. Must be a special rule?

This challenge makes no sense. Even if White had kicked out (and he didn’t), diving through him would still be a foul. Beal’s body path basically requires that if there was contact (and there obviously was), it was a foul.

I get that Phoenix wants to argue the pick caused him to crash into White. But I do not think that is reviewable, and there's no way to interpret the contact as not a foul is there?

I don't get how that is reviewable---the pick is a play prior to the foul. you can't challenge a no-call. There's no requirement of intent on a foul so you'd have to find there's no contact there.

It's an incorrect reversal by the rulebook.

Not only can Phoenix not foul in the lane..they can't even foul on the three point line.. and when they do the refs review it back 30 seconds to see if they can find a foul to call on the Celtics instead.

Apparently this is wrong. Who knew?
I'm not wrong on the rules, I reviewed them two weeks ao on the point of what's reviewable. That's simply a wrong call - there's no provision in rules to make the call there, unless they argued (preposterously) the contact was minimal.

I get that it feels unfair becasue of the contact on the pick, but the rules are what they are on review. You can't change hte no-call on the pick, and all that is reviewable is the level of contact on the shooter.

That is a basis for challenging the outcome of the game (not that Celts will do it).

Pretty extreme rebounding discrepancy. Some of it is the players out there (Nurkic and no KP), some of it feels like bad variance luck.

perhaps they think they're ref'ing the NHL?

I'm confused how that drive by JB wasn't an offensive foul.. but these refs have just been bad all around...like a lot worse than normal bad NBA standards.
