This guys appears to be effortlessly throwing this thing, like a frisbee, or like he’s skipping stones.
I’d bench the left fielder’s ass. He loafed on it assuming Ceddy’s stopping at second.
I don't know, but that was the first time I recall watching a pitcher throwing a ball with the sort of movement straight out of a video game.
There was a dude in the Padres bullpen a couple years ago, Austin Adams, who threw like 90% sliders and got shit tons of strikeouts doing that. Campbell reminds me of him.
You guys are going to love him. I got to watch him here when he was in AA, he's a wicked fan favorite. I think he's a future setup/closer.
Fingers crossed we don’t spend much time this year watching them churn through a hundred fungible relievers who are all more or less equally useless.
Oh yea he was all Ks, BBs, and HBPs. Semi-controlled chaos in his best stretches, I'd like to hope Campbell doesn't imitate that part of it. But when you mainly throw a pitch that moves that much, semi-controlled chaos is kind of what you're going for.
