Definitely happy with a 2-2 split.

Take a split on the West Coast and the team's preparedness coming out of the gate every day and twice on Sunday.

Today is my daughter’s 18th birthday, and she’s also a BIG fan, so the win today is extra sweet.
And to complete the circle my 93 year old father in law watched the game from our couch with his grand daughter.
Someone posted in on the main board that this was the worst off season of his lifetime.

This was a great series against a very good team. We were pretty close to taking three of four, too.
I absolutely can't complain about a strong split on a West Coast road trip against a legit playoff contender. Looooong way to go, but the pitching results seem more meaningful in the context of the excellent Spring.

Still a long way to go but I think Cora was spot on when he said this team will be around at the end of the year if the starters can give 5/6 innings a night with any kind of consistency. The offense has enough talent to be middle of the pack at least, the defense is much improved, and the back end of the pen has two reliable arms with some intriguing upside to fill out the other spots.
The pitching has far exceeded what I anticipated already. Let’s hope it continues beyond one series and the offense starts clicking a bit better.
