4/11 - Who will the Knicks play?

What incentive do they have to play hard? They have literally one goal right now and that’s to get to the playoffs healthy.
The team that I fear the most for the Celtics is the Celtics. And this is the type of effort that raises my eyebrows (there have been more than a few games going back to around the ATL B2B). I get that there's nothing left to play for, but then don't fucking play if you're not going to do it right, I guess? In every facet you're getting worked and outworked.
Knicks would be an awful matchup based on the style and effort they play with. Some pretty underwhelming results to temper a great regular season.

Like no shit they are giving negative effort on the boards. They’re out there so they don’t get fined.
If Celts really don't want the starters to get hurt, then put 'em on the bench. Put in the bench players. You know they're going to play with heart. If I paid good money to go to this Celtics game tonight, I'd be sick, thinking I had just thrown all that money away, the way these guys are getting outhustled all over the place.
Why would they not play? There’s so much time before their first playoff game they need to be in game shape at the very least.

Yup. I posted something similar a weeks or two back. The only team I thought that could beat the Celts is the Celts. This game means nothing but I don't trust the maturity or toughness of this team.
Hard to say that they looked like trash since then given their subsequent five game winning streak, which included beating OKC by 35.
Can’t ride the bench for starter minutes tonight when you need the bench for starter minutes tomorrow. You’re stuck with the starters half assing it.
Might as well just send the starters to the Bahamas for a few days if they’re giving this type of effort.

I don't recall OKC having their best player on the court. Maybe you saw him, even though he didn't play.
Celtics played the Knicks 4 times this season in games that still mattered and won by 4, 16, 10, and 14. Scary stuff.
Iirc their brothers lost to an 8 seed in 7 last year.
But as we were told they learned their lesson.

The Nuggets could never win in the playoffs with Jokic. Too easy to expose and exploit on D. Just wouldn’t happen, everyone knew it. Most obvious thing in the world.
We were watching different teams if you thought that. Last season was a major slog, the talent got them wins but they never enforced their will like this team has.
Exactly. OG Anunoby does not tilt the Knicks over the Celtics, it's just absolutely silly.
Celts were a legit title contender last year and I believe the deepest and should have played in the Finals. Whether they could have beaten Denver is a coin flip. The point is they either choked or were ill prepared for the post season last year.
Even though the game means nothing, I wish they’d be more professional about it and give a good competitive effort.
They would get smoked by this year’s team. I’m not really sure why it’s worth discussing last year at all.
OR. they got to game 7 of the ECF and probably would have won if Tatum hadn't turned his ankle in the first seconds of that game... were they as ill prepared as the Bucks who were also title contenders?
