Two first place teams meet at The Jake (that will always be its name) tonight. Let's hope for some distance out of Clark.

NY bullpen is very well rested, Holmes and Hamilton haven't pitched since Tuesday (and had low pitch counts then), Burdi and Ferguson haven't pitched since Sunday.

Rained out, doubleheader tomorrow. That means NY is going to need a 6th SP either tomorrow or next Wednesday, Will Warren is scheduled tonight in AAA and could take either of those.

Cody Poteet will be the 27th man and start game 2 tomorrow night, he threw 70 pitches on 4/7 so should be good for 70-80 if he’s effective.

Trent Grisham is appearing in just his third game and hit into a double play with the bases juiced and no outs. I guess at least he drove the run in.

Also, old friend Estevan Florial is getting the start for the Guardians, while Carrasco is starting his first game in Cleveland in four years.

Carrasco is really riding his luck so far. Ugh.

Also I know it's not fair and he has to get some ABs, but that's just about enough Trent Grisham for today.

Clark looking great, but need him to keep it going for at least two more innings.

I'm looking forward to Grisham completing the trifecta and hitting into a double play with two outs and the bases loaded next at bat.

The wind may very well have kept Laureano's ball from going out, and Clay manages to take advantage of it with some help from the ump.
