Kikuchi vs Rodon. Rodon looking to build on his 180 from last year and Yankees looking to score some runs.

I’m not convinced the Yankees could hit Kikuchi even if they knew what pitch is coming

I am behind again, but Kikuchi looked absolutely dominant in the first, striking out the side. So the all-knowing Flaherty starts his second inning by explaining to us ordinary folk why Kikuchi is so effective.

"The one thing I will say about Kikuchi, he is not your typical lefthanded pitcher. By that I mean, it's 95, 96, he can hit 97..."

He just hit 99 near the end of the first inning! Did Flaherty miss that pitch? TOR did bat for a long time in the 1st, maybe he forgot...

I am still way behind and am sure that YES did not lose sound entirely for a bunch of batters in the 3rd inning (with the picture intact) as an intentional John Sterling tribute, but it was an incredible unintentional one.
