That makes a ton of sense. I was thinking it was even too early for kids to go when they got out of school, but it's early enough that they can get back to school before the end of the school day.

Sounds like a fun field trip to go see BLEIS. No JOHANFRAN, though. Clear indication that Salem's manager is not pro-children. At least let him DH.

Salem loaded the bases with 2 outs in the 1st on an Alcantara (!) single (a "soft ground ball to the shortstop") & walks by Jhostynxon & Nelly T, but no runs.

I was just looking at Salem's bench & was reminded that they've been carrying NAZZAN all season, even though he hasn't played a game yet. Not sure why not start him on the IL or dev list other than maybe they didn't want to bring someone over from the complex & get their hopes up just to send them right back down.

Haven't seen an update on when he'll be in the lineup.

That Dog got 2 quick flyouts to start the 3rd, but then went single, walk, walk to load the bases before getting another flyout to end the inning.

Mirrors Salem's 1st inning. Wehunt is already at 66 pitches through 3 innings, so looks like it will be a short outting.

Scoreless headed to the bottom of the 3rd with BLEIS leading off. & I think it's time for Antonio Anderson to get unslumped.

Antonio Anderson did not get unslumped... unless you're big into groundouts to 2B.

If you're more of a fan of groundouts to SS, AA did that in his 1st AB, but BLEIS has managed this feat twice already today.

If you're into hits, though...ALCANTARA is your guy as he just doubled on a sharp line drive & has both of Salem's hits today.

This was accurate as Nathanael Cruz is out for the 4th inning.

He also made a throwing error on a pick off attempt in the 2nd.

Cruz ended up giving up 4 runs, 3 earned. He did get help from a caught stealing at 3rd on a double steal, though.

Cruz started the 5th with a groundout & a single, & was pulled for Max Carlson.

Max Carlson also struggled, allowing 2 runs in 2.2 IP on 4 hits & a walk, striking out 3
Denis Reguillo only lasted one (very long) inning wherein he allowed a run on 4 walks & threw 35 pitches.

As such, 1B Albert Feliz got in to pitch for the 2nd time this season, & for the 2nd time pitched a scoreless inning. He walked 2 & picked up a strikeout.

Not a fan of the smaller domestic reserve list that cause these hitter pitching games... but at least Feliz has been good.

Salem lost 7-2.

YUTE was 2-3 with a double & a walk.

Jhostynxon was 2-3 with a walk & both RBI.

Alcantara was 2-4 with a double.

Bleis was 1-4 with a double.

AA & Viloria were 1-4.

Chase Shugart pitched a 1-2-3 7th, but Justin Hagenman came in for the 8th & allowed a leadoff homer.

Hagenman got through the rest of the 8th without incident & Luis Guerrero allowed 2 hits, but no runs, in the 9th to secure the 6-2 victory.

Caleb Bolden pitched the final 3 innings to pick up the 3-inning save, allowing 2 unearned runs on 2 hits & 1 walk with 5 strikeouts including one to end the game & cap off the 7-5 victory for Greenville.
