Maybe it's just a dislocation and it hurts and then they put it back and he is good in a few weeks? Is that possible?

WHO DO WE ASK NOW. WHAT DO I DO WITH $10?

Cora pondering what SS might become again if it's serious.

It's better if it's a clean dislocation compared to a partial one, right?

I know defense is reflex, but it seems there are plays to go all out like that, and maybe times to let a single happen.

If it’s long term Rafaella to SS, right?
I honestly wish no. Rafaela is a game changer in centerfield, and while he is supposedly excellent at SS, he just isn't on the same level there.

I don't know what the other answer is at this point, though, sadly.

How long to recover from a separated shoulder?
Based on this, probably dislocated:
"While a dislocated shoulder typically produces intense or severe pain, a separated shoulder is a little milder — but still uncomfortable." The Orthopedic Clinic
Recovery, via Mayo Clinic:
"How long it takes to recover depends on the extent of the injury, and whether you undergo surgery. If your dislocation is fairly simple, your shoulder joint will improve over a few weeks.

After surgery, you'll wear a sling for about six weeks, gradually working on range of motion and strength. Full recovery may take five to six months.

The greatest risk during healing for any shoulder dislocation is returning to activities before the shoulder is stable, even though you may be feeling pretty good. Resuming activities too quickly can lead to injury or possible repeat dislocation."

Obviously praying it’s not but if it is then this is a year for the kids. You call up Mayer because he’s that good. I don’t want to move Rafaela from CF
Mayer is not ready yet. He's very good, but he showing in spring training that he has a ways to go. I was fully on board the "give him a full shot in the spring" train last season before the injury, but he just isn't there yet. You don't burn a year of control on a kid like that unless he is ready, or at least close to it.

I'm just so sad right now. Sad for Story as a human being, sad for all his teammates, sad for all us Sox fans who were enjoying and appreciating and looking forward to a summer of baseball from him.

Julius Randle of the Knicks just took about 2 months off trying to rehab his separated shoulder and is now going to have surgery that will require more months of recovery, But others bounce back quickly from different versions of what is called a separated shoulder, This is bad no matter what, though.
